Any of the 3 attacking slots.
Reports emerging that Wenger is close to signing a 2 year contract extension keeping him at the club until 2019.
We've stolen the Leicester scout Ben Wrigglesworth who was responsible for recommending Mahrez and Kante.
Reports suggesting that Ozil has turned down a new contract.
Don't know if there is any truth in this or if it is the usual Pre summer stuff coming from Barcelona. Would be crap if it is true.
Pre-summer? More like 'pre-we-play-them-in-10-days-so-they-will-look-to-unsettle-our-team' stuff.
One question for Arsenal fans. Andrey Arshavin's contract with FC Kuban (Russian Premier League's club from Krasnodar city) definitely will be canceled soon. May be after this 34 years old player will retire. What do you think about this footballer and his years in Arsenal? I know opinion of Russian Arsenal fans but it is not the same as opinions of Arsenal fans from Great Britain and other country. So, what do you think about Arshavin? I am very interested to know.
I post this message in Match Threads Forum Arsenal v Leicester, but nobody has answered. Why? Is it because Arshavin was awful and you don’t want to remember him? I hope, it’s not true. :-)
Must have missed it.
Arshavin made an immediate positive impact, taking over the creative responsibilities while Fabregas was out with a knee injury. He scored 6 goals (including those 4 at Anfield) and set up another 7 in just 14 appearances. Unfortunately for Arshavin, Fabregas regained fitness and he was moved to the left flank the next season and really struggled from there on, eventually losing his place in the side to Samir Nasri. He still had some big moments, including a truly memorable winner against Barcelona.
Ultimately, he'll be remembered as a flop.
It's clear now. Thank you for your reply.
Arshavin stopped playing for Arsenal once he discovered himself inside the 50% tax bracket and unable to claim the bench area as tax-exempt. He lost one-halve of his wages and subsequently scaled down his efforts to accommodate that fact.
It wasn't much of a secret he was in football for the money and not the glory, which is why he mostly plied his trade inside a country with more modest tax demands.
Scored a few great goals, a couple of match-winners before his enthusiasm declined sufficiently for him to exit downstage-left, virtually unnoticed.
Ultimately he will be forgotten because he didn't give anything of himself for people to remember.
So where you Arsenal fans go on the internet to discuss the club?
I know about ArsenalMania and Goonersworld but they're both full of imbeciles.
I tend to avoid club based forums. Full of mongs.
Sanchez has broken rank:
He'll be off soon.
Alexis and Özil both have 2 years to run on their contracts. Need to keep an eye on that situation.
So Moshiri invests in Everton and within a week cuts ticket prices.
Maybe I've got a massive conspiracy theory complex going on but wouldn't it be great if Usmanov was using Everton (through Moshiri) to put immense pressure on Kroenke?
Every year we let this washed up manager get away with managing us we solidify ourselves as washed up football club. We really are small time now. Mertesacker and Ramsey talking like we did great today about how we showed character, Wenger talking about how proud he is of the team today etc We looked like a small team going to a big teams ground and fighting while being dominated. Pathetic....now 8 points behind Leicester ****ing city. They drew a game they needed to win and they think it's a great achievement. We have seen this so many times, our players celebrating abject mediocrity. Of all Wenger's faults this is the worst, injecting this loser mentality into the players and even the fans. It will take a massive overhaul and years to get rid of the stench of this mentality.
Welbeck's out for 9 months.
Horrible news . Surely have to sign a striker or 3 now!
Jesus f'in christ! 9 months!
