I'm not convinced by Wilson. There's a good player in there but not sure he would suit us. Would rather we spent money on someone else.

I think it would only be a loan with an option to buy anyway from what I've heard. He's one that needs the right system to flourish I feel and if Bielsa has pinpointed him you'd imagine he has an idea how to use him.

He's far from perfect, but how much money are you realistically going to have to spend on that type of player, and will it be enough to get a better player in than Harry Wilson on loan?

As @Muller says, if Bielsa thinks he's a good fit then fair enough. Personally i wouldn't buy anyone unless they are going to be better than Klich, Pablo and Roberts. I'm not sure Wilson is. I would keep the money unless someone like Rodrigo De Paul is a goer.

Yeah, that's fair enough, but I just think there's no harm in getting him on loan to add some depth there.

De Paul just tweeted that he wants to come to Leeds (then deleted it). Looks like if we are willing to pull the trigger on a 40m deal then we could get that one done.

We need to stay up if we are committing this kind of money to players!

Arsenal reject Sheffield United's £3m bid for 19-year-old striker Folarin Balogun | Daily Mail Online

I'm not sure what games we are playing here. Unless we are quite confident of getting a large compensation fee.

OR, we'd accept a lower fee if a buyback clause or sell on fee is involved.

Either way, this is a confusing one.

probably because Sheff utd are apparently courting brewster on loan so you might see this bid as a low ball tester.

e.g. If we give them brewster then this bid is really for next season not this one from their point of view? If we don't give the player then suddenly this becomes more important to shff utd who stump up more cash??

Sheffield United's bid is absolutely fine. He's out of contract next summer and hasn't played a professional game yet. But apparently we want £15m

Maybe Liverpool are asking for too high a loan fee for Brewster and this is Sheffield United's way of playing games to get that fee down.

We typically charge little to no loan fees for our young players, rather penalties for if they aren't played. Which I know frustrates some but is essentially better for a club which actually needs the player, rather than just wants an extra body.

Ivanovic confirmed on a 1 year deal. Free transfer. If we continue to go with 3 in the middle then not to bad. Heads dropped on Sunday after we conceded first so hopefully bit of experience does wonders. Would like a left back then that's us done in defence. Have to concentrate and get 2 strikers and 2 or 3 midfielders too

Yep - I would have presumed he would get a move this summer, but I guess Villa were asking too much.

He's a top player in my opinion. Should be starting every game for England.

Yep - if you play him at centre half you might get some mileage out of him. He looked way off the pace at right back in his last Prem season though.

Great for Villa, if you can put some quality elsewhere in the team too.

Grealish really looks a top player - there aren't many that can control and keep the ball and just take it past players with easy - completely naturally and with such consistency. You really don't see that a lot at all.

How do you rate him compared to what else you've seen at Villa? (sorry no idea how long you've been supporting them)
