The players on your bench would walk into most teams in this league.
2 points behind now
Spoke too soon, another 2 points dropped against you! Would have taken it pre match but disappointed now.
Happy that our defeat didn't do too much damage. It seems to often happen in this league that all the top sides drop points at once.
You've been at this anti-Boro gig for years now, does it not get old?
He has issues with Boro and Wednesday, think we upset him in 2016 .
You'd think with what happened with all the relative teams since he'd be happy, strange bloke. (Or a young lad)
Sheffield United big winners again ATM.
Here comes another Norwich late show...
Dropped points for us again today.
Have to get another run going.
Dropped down to 4th. 3 points behind 2nd. 7 points clear of forest in 7th
Going to be a very interesting second half of the season. I hope we push on, get some quality in key areas, and see if the football gods are finally smiling down on us.
It's the hope that kills
I keep thinking we're going to bow out of the race but still we keep pushing on. Wilder and Knill are doing a ridiculous job with this team.
We just need to try and stay in touch over the course of the next 3 or 4 games and then we get some of our players back from injury and are through a very tough run of fixtures. Finished yesterday with Tettey, Stiepermann, Buendia and Leitner all injured who are arguably our 4 first choice midfielders. As it is we've had a bit of a dip, dropped points against Forest and Derby that we really shouldn't have due to some terrible defending and currently look leggy but we've not lost too much ground due to WBA and Leeds slipping up as well although Shef U have crept up and now in contention for the top 2.
Really think the EFL need to look at their scheduling and drop one of these Christmas fixtures as not only are all teams picking up loads of injuries due to fatigue but it will ruin this weekends FA Cup ties as we have no choice but to rest players given our injury situation. We've also had 3 or 4 horrendous referees on the trot including the weak imbecile who allowed Blackburn's thuggish midfield to injured both Buendia and Leitner in the first half of our game there.
All to play for though.
I thought that was part and parcel of this division... I used to moan about Premier League refs but f*ck me I miss them now.
I'd be interested in hearing how often linos actually attempt to correct a ref. They seem to just be window dressing in most games.
Do you always get such homers at Villa Park?
He was dreadful for both sides , blowing for kick off when your players were still in the crowd celebrating before he realised his mistake . And pulling Tammy back when he was bursting through on goal to book a QPR player were my two favourites. The referees in this division are another level of crap . The knock on and try at WBA was beyond the pale the other week.
Agree. Kind of cautiously accepted that we have a good chance of top 6
But with 3 consecutive wins over Xmas we now have a realistic chance of top 2.
Still can’t believe the fantastic job that Wilder has done at my club over the past 3 years.
When we had Warnock as manager performances improved due to a fantastic team spirit (players giving 100%). Wilder has been different, he’s bought average players then coached them into a system when they quickly look like high quality players playing good attacking quality football, quite unbelievable really. Never seen any manager able to turn water into wine since Brian Clough
It’s a strange league this season, loads of good teams but no outstanding teams.
Fans of so many clubs must still believe they have a realistic chance of promotion.
All to play for, should make a fantastic and exciting season for so many. Still have a horrible feeling it could go pear shaped for us.
