Huge 3 points for us, especially with Huddersfield, Fulham and Cardiff not wining and looking likely Newcastle won't either.

I have only seen the incident live, so until I see MOTD I can't comment. But the linesman was closer and he made the decision, so you have to trust them, I think we also had a shout for a penalty when Hoillett seemed to be taken out, but again I'll have to see the replays.

When all is said, I think we're both doomed. That has to be the worst Premier League game ever, and I have to admit that we don't belong in this league, but strangely, I don't really care. We just can't compete with the telephone number transfer fees that are being paid, back to the Championship next season and a bit of sanity.

It was a pen, quite clearly and the linos view was way worse than the refs because he was looking at both players from the back pretty much.

The Hoillet one wasn't, the defender got to the ball first and it was a good tackle, you could see it being given but it would have been a mistake. I'd presume on VAR that would be looked at and not given, the Huddersfield one would have done.

Not sure anyone is gone yet, whilst its unlikely Fulahm or Huddersfield can catch up the bottom set of teams have been so awful this year (the gap between the top teams and everyone else is widening so much) that I could honestly see someone maybe staying up with sub 30 points.

It shows in the top 3, they were talking about it on MOTD, basically no top 3 teams have had so many points at this stage of the season, if Spurs and City win then at the end of the weekend you'll have 3 teams on over 50 points from 22 games. If they keep this rate up you could literally have Spurs finishing in third with a points total often enough to win the league.

It's a very weak bottom 5 or 6. You can maybe start taking Southampton out the equation because the new manager is turning it around and they were underperforming previously. The thing with the others is they aren't actually underperforming - they just haven't got the quality. A couple of poor teams, for this level at least, will stay up this year. Sometimes you get seasons where decent sides actually go down.

I think Huddersfield really needed to win their last couple of games. After 19 games everyone had played everyone once. So the last three games Huddersfield have played Burnley,Cardiff and Fulham twice and only got one point. They needed to be winning at least two of them because they've still got to play all the top half out the last 16 games and will need at least 6 wins.

Palace have had a bit of a shocker this year as well but have always had that cushion.

Well as Hughton said, the top 6 will only get stronger. Make it even worse the top 6 will get even more money after the new deal. That's the way this league is now. Both Cardiff and Fulham have failed to win against a top 6 side this year. Last season's promoted sides all did.

Yeah the gulf in quality between the top 6 and the rest of the league has got bigger, it’ll probably be record points just to secure top 4 this season. And yeah it is likely 30 points could be the mark for safety, a points tally I can’t see either Huddersfield or Fulham getting to, sadly I think they are doomed.

Agree with the Geordie above. Bottom 3 done and dusted now.

    Goodbye Huddersfield
    Goodbye Cardiff
    Goodbye Fulham

It's now more interesting to see who replaces them from the Championship

More than likely. I think Southampton and Palace will be fine. Burnley and Newcastle still in the mire but more likely to get results here and there and have that gap over the bottom 2.
