How do you know I don't slightly agree given the fact he is 38? :hmmm

I do think he was underrated earlier in his career, and Manchester united benefited from that.

The only people slagging off Newcastle are the fans of teams who finished below us
Steven Fletcher will be an excellent signing for the Mackems - in the Championship
Liverpool will struggle to maintain the achievements of last season
Rodgers' Swansea were pretty sh1t - see 80% possession vs us, but 2-0 to NUFC

Newcastle will go back to being a bottom half team, their one season of "glory" will prove to be just that.
Chelsea and City will battle it out for the title, City will win it.
Arsenal will eventually win a trophy...the europa league after bowing out of the champions league at the group stage.
Luis Suarez will win the "football writers" player of the year...

In all fairness, Barton should have a decent shout of L2 POTY.

Well, to add to the controversial nature of this thread, I'd wager that Joey Barton is not very intelligent and has a rampant anger management problem that would see him sent off routinely in L2.

    Ooooooooh the controversy.

Having sat through a season of him, he's a very very average PL player.

One season of glory. Quite unlike the many post 1990 that we've had.

Liverpool fans are more bitter than Everton fans, who seem knowledgeable and neutral by comparison
Suarez is and has always been a c*nt

I have to agree with that one. Also he is extremely overated.

Suarez is a good player, but all things considered, few clubs would want the hassle.

Does at least one c*ntish thing a year and dives like f*ck

I think you'll find it's not very controversial at all, so maybe its the wrong thread. :hmmm

The same could be said of a few other players. Newcastle managed to shift c*nts like Bowyer.

Liverpool fans worship him but he isn't as good as most of the top half teams star players. He has the occasional good dribble into the box but then ruins it by diving or making a meal of a tackle.
