Loads have come out the woodwork in recent years, not to mention the extent they go to sell home tickets.
Think they'd need a more prolonged period of success and some european success in particular to rival other plastic fanbases.
Case in point- the local club for local people are on their arse trying to shift tickets for a title run in. No I didn’t add in the # General sale, 6 per person. Greater Manchester has a population of 2.8million ( and locals support city), you have a Manchester team going for a title playing mega football with fantastic players at cheap prices.... and your giving tickets away to primary schools, selling on Ryanair and begging someone to take 6 tickets in one go. The city is ours
That’s was Manchester City FC, the club that used to exist. Glass tunnels, red carpets/ MC entrances and changing your badge to fit the same design as other clubs in the “City Football Group”. The change in 10 years is staggering. It makes you ill, you know it and I know it. Turned into exactly what you slated United for but worse.
6 per person? WTF? Going for 4 trophies, the place should be sold out twice over. How much do they charge?
I know what you're getting at but i've never understood taking the piss out of other clubs for giving tickets away to primary schools. Given how expensive football is these days it should be lauded that any club is doing it, not taken the piss out of.
They never get it do they That was Manchester City that weren't a threat and we could laugh at for never winning trophies It's ****ing great
Agreed, it’s a good thing to do. But when you spend years lying that Manchester is blue and the rest of the nation lap it up, expect shit back when it blows up in your face. They aren’t doing this for the community, they can’t get rid of them. It’s amusing seeing the rest of the country laugh about it as well and it really winds them up so I’m having a laugh about it.
At the end of day whoever it is its a way of getting new fans, I think in PL in general has an issue with younger fans getting tickets
The same extent? All clubs do and should do because they want to, not because they have to. As alluded to, they wouldn’t if they could sell the tickets. Manchester Uni isn’t a community initiative and they flog them on there as wel... City Tickets on Sale From Just £5! @ University of Manchester Students' Union And before someone mouths off, that’s for Premier League and Champions league games, United IIRC put a Europa league tickets on there before for one or two games. Buy one get on Free ffs. United do similar, probably not enough in truth. But United don’t give a shit about support and are lazy because they can get away with it.
Was group games from memory, Leverkusen, Sociedad in 13/14. May have been more but those ones were definitely through the Uni at about £15 each.
