Yeah think Dzeko/Aguero got 17 each
Yaya got 20, but he ain’t a striker.
Yaya Toure got you 20 despite not being a striker. Dont think it specifically matters who it is, but having a player net 20+ with it generally being expected to be your striker. Salah isn't technically a striker but gets the goals you'd expect from one so Firmino doesn't need 20.
Had no idea he was that prolific in front of goal
24 in all comps
That was far and away his best season. Scored 3 or 4 direct free-kicks and quite a few pens in there too... I’d guess about 7. But Dzeko and Agüero both got mid-high teens.
Yeah I overlooked that. BUT, there is a but
But am I correct in saying City played with 2 up top that season and had Dzeko chip in with 16 himself?
Funny I literally would have bet money on that being bullshit
Bellerin/Kolasinac are two FBs who I could see being able to provide width for a diamond. Defensively though...
Yeah they would need a proper destroyer DM which they don’t have.
OK Liverpool can win it . Only real threat to Man City imho
They do; Lucas Torreira.
Thought he was more of a Jorginho. I was thinking a Fabinho type.
He's primarily a tenacious ball winner, he's got a lot of other good things in his game though, he's class.
Yeah Torreira is quality. From my time watching him at Sampdoria, he's a very technical player in a similar mold as Gary Medel
I’ve never thought of Medel as ‘technical’ tbh
The "your striker needs to score 20 goals for you to win the League" is the most ridiculous thing ever suggested. As long as the rest if your team chips in it doesn't matter who scores for you. Teams with high scoring strikers tend to have very few goals coming from midfield, out wide, etc...
2013/14 Rodgers played a diamond tbf.
