Without clicking on the link I’d bet every penny I currently own, have ever earned, and future earnings, that Blues are on the list!!

Looks like EFL haven't applied the 3mth extension to file accounts that the government granted due to pandemic.

Yes, Birmingham are on there too.

As you say, it's the Daily Mail...

They should all be kicked out of the league, cheating bastards

Seriously though, what's the point of imposing a transfer embargo at a time when no transfers can be made anyway? That's a bit like a player being given a 4 week ban to be served in July

We have no problem with our finances. Had the journalist done his job he would have found out that our accounts were waiting to be signed off something Companies House had no problem with knowing the extra work involved during Covid. The EFL refused however to extend the deadline. The EFL really are a bunch of useless c*nts.

Reading have been under some kind of soft embargoes for the past couple of seasons. What is frustrating is that it doesn’t appear to be clear what we can and cannot do as the club and EFL have never communicated anything.

No signings in January, only two in the Summer (one of which pre-arranged in the year before) and one signing the previous January with 2/3 on frees. It also means that we cannot offer new contracts to players, and so couldn’t make an attempt to keep hold of Richards. Thankfully we have had a good amount of academy players break through and perform at this level.

We spent a lot 3-4 years ago to go backwards down the league, but a lot of the high wage players left last Summer or will be leaving this year, so hopefully we will be out of embargoes soon.

Matondo.....It's good you took him on a loan before actually splashing any cash up front. Not seen a player that far out of his depth before in a 30 minute cameo.

Unbelievable that Schalke actually spent £10million + on him.

So really it’s a load of clubs having a short term issue because the EFL didn’t do their job very well rather than a few clubs set to go bust ?

 pointless isn't it?! See the Mail amended their story as soon as Coventry and Luton explained the "technicality".

Indeed! EFL and the Mail strike again. Mind you my club only just made a statement and didn't help themselves by being really vague :fail: I much preferred the statements from others!

The FL being a joke shocker then, though the clubs named are mostly the usual suspects, its good to see things like this are well in the past with our current owners

The clubs on that list are all badly run and gaining an unfair advantage on us poor clubs who obey the rules, you should all get a 12 point deduction :enditall

Why have the Efl offered clubs more grace to submit finances because of Covid only to then punish them for the leeway the league themselves provided?

Presume its the Blazers at the top 'doing the right thing' The Companies House rules state by such and such a date Limited Companies must submit year end accounts. Football authorities follow that date but then overlook ammending the date extensions Companies House have given. Cant then look like they arent enforcing their own incorrect rules so so slap the clubs who havent yet filed.

Reading have announced operating losses of £43 million for 2019/20. It shows the potential financial position that a lot of clubs might be in after this season in the Championship, and you certainly wouldn't expect any real money to be spent outside of clubs on parachute payments. I think our own parachute payments will have been largely used this season to combat against the lack of any gate revenue.

You'd imagine that if they don't go up that Lucas Joao, Ovie Ejaria & Michael Olise would be available for the right price. Looks like Omar Richards to Bayern is confirmed on a free for the summer.
