@Joga bonito , one of the most experienced draft players in FF, who has great football knowledge.

 

At the back I have three of the best centre backs in world football. Bonucci and Ramos have bags of experience and are both ideally suited to their positions in a back three. They are complimented by a younger Varane who is part of the French core of my team and partners Ramos at Real Madrid.

The width in my team is provided by the full backs, Alves showing he can still do the business in the Copa America and Mendy proving himself by earning his big money move to Real Madrid this summer.

In central midfield I have two versatile and athletic Frenchmen. Matuidi is a regular starter for Juventus and France, despite both having bigger name players available. Sissoko is a key player for Spurs and was a regular as they reached the Champions League final.

Up front, Jovic showed his quality, earning a big money move to Real Madrid and gets the main striker role. His excellent hold up play should allow my two French forwards and two of the best strikers in the world, Mbappe and Griezmann to drop off and do what they do best.

My back three and front three are as good as it gets. This team would be solid at the back and score for fun at the other end of the pitch!

A team built on attacking flair but with a core that will stop the opposition.

In goal we have the world's best current goalkeeper in David De Gea. An all round goalkeeper who can be the difference between 0 points and 3 points every match.

My 2 centre halves are the sort who are not afraid to stick their head into dangerous situations and put their body on the line in the name of a clean sheet. Both are also comfortable on the ball so will allow us to play out from the back, such is the modern game. My full backs are both full of pace and more than willing to get forward when possible, whilst also being able to stop the best and quickest of wingers in their path.

My midfield 3 starts with the defensive minded Casemiro who will act as the perfect protection for the defenders and this will then allow my 2 goal scoring attacking midfielders to focus more on the attacking 3rd. Both attacking midfielders can also play as out and out strikers which gives plenty of options and allows for us to switch and change during a match to create confusion in the opposition defence.

And that takes me onto my forward 3. Do I really need to say much about it? All 3 are natural born goalscorers with Costa being closer to a more typical number 9 than the other 2 and with him roving around the 6 yard box this will allow the other 2 to be picking the ball up in both deeper and wider positions and impacting the game from places other than the opposition penalty area.

Pique will be my captain because he's an absolute leader and Muller will take the vice captaincy because he is German and Germans are ultra cool and efficient.

We saw great upsets, changes of votes and 3 great teams fight for 2 places...

In the end, @Tony_Adams 's side finished 1st with 3 points and @Joga bonito also progressed, by getting 2 votes. Even though @Tomohawk had a great team, he faced 2 of the greatest contenders and was eliminated with 0 points...
