Owt could happen, massive game for us both.
It's impossible to predict from our point of view. It all depends on which United turn up.
technically only masive when you play us.......
best of luck all the same
They've sold away end out only team to do so in this league they're massive
It's a good job everyone bought their tickets before last Saturday or else we'd have probably struggled to do so.
Seen folk tweeting asking if they can take 'em back, are football fans in general that fickle?
We have some of the worst!
Can't wait, should be 16-17,000 there and a cracking atmosphere. If United win then that's 5th spot pretty much sewn up, our unbeaten run ended in the worst possible manner, and our play-off push in jeopardy. Which is why we've got to win. A fourth draw in a row wouldn't be disastrous but we have to keep winning our home games. We've just taken a point each from the two best teams in the division, United's confidence will have been knocked after a last minute home defeat to Crewe, but literally anything could happen on the day. All I want is 3 points. Don't care how we get them, just get them.
We have to go into this game with no intentions of taking any prisoners, we took too many against Preston and Bristol.
Derby games between us and either of the two dee dar brothers are different from any of our other existing derbys... They almost always end up being dirty games so we need to be prepared for a fight.
This is the kind of game you put Big ('Big' because the announcer at Oakwell always says it. ) Jean Yves Mvoto in defence, just for that physical presence, my only hope is that he doesn't do what he did at Bristol...
I'm going for a 2-1 win. Sam Winnall early in the first half, Sheff Utd get one through Matty Done towards the end of the 1st half, (because ex-Barnsley player, that's why!) and then Jabo Ibehre to seal the win late in the second.
As for the attendance, can't wait! Probably gonna be the highest of the season for us.
If we turn up we'll win.
Only about a 30% chance of that happening though.
Been given another 250 tickets.
Jamo, why are you talking to yourself ?
Last 5 at Oakwell.
9 March 2002 - Barnsley 1-1 Sheffield United (D'Jaffo)
22 March 2008 - Barnsley 0-1 Sheffield United (Sharp)
8 November 2008 - Barnsley 1-2 Sheffield United (Beattie 2)
9 November 2009 - Barnsley 2-2 Sheffield United (Henderson 2)
11 December 2010 - Barnsley 1-0 Sheffield United
It'll be amazing to see a 17,000 crowd
What with our usual 200 following to Jokewell (according to Dingles anyway)
Blades should be up for it especially in front of such a "big" crowd
I think our squad is better then yours, and I think we have a better manager, I just hope we both turn up with our A games, then it should be a good game, and we'll win.
If Brayford, Baxter, Flynn, Murphy and Done are firing on all cylinders we'll slaughter you.
We might say the same of Hourihane, Winnall, Scowen, Ibehre and Waring
If both sides turn up it'll be a cracker. Obviously I'd prefer it if you lot didn't though
