Like the way you got a United positive out of a comment that had nothing to do with you...never change.

Don't think the likes of Madrid will be as complacent in the knockouts but we'll at least be there to have a chance which is an improvement on last season.

It'll be interesting to see if one of the English clubs can win it though. With 5 out of 16 likely to be in it you'd have to fancy at least one to go far.

I know their record suggests otherwise (no goals conceded in Europe) but they're not flawless defensively.

I reckon the English clubs would give them a good game over two legs.

They just look solid throughout and the attack looks legit

Can't say I've seen much of them tbh so I'm judging their defence a little on our game in pre-season when we put 4 past them.

They looked frightening going forward but I don't think they're unbeatable if they come up against a decent side. Hopefully Bayern give them a better game in the second group game between them.

true, the latter stages it will be worth watching. Just not the CL but given how hard getting in the top 4 is in England this kind of comp could be a big deal.

looks like Atletico will be joining it too

Might be getting carried away after the events of last night but honestly there’s only a few teams in this competition I wouldn’t fancy us against over 2 legs. Luck’s definitely with us in this competition this year, we can dream right? ;)

After Ancellotti's tactical nightmare in Paris we owe them one big time. We can do them too, Heynckes is getting us back on the rails.

I think Pochetino would be dreadful at Barca too IMO, though he'd be pretty good at Athletico IMO.

This, plus there's loads more clubs than can splurge the cash like crazy now than maybe half a decade or a decade ago.

With Poch I feel like it's a matter whether the players buy into his rigorous training methods and if they continue to do so even when things aren't going that well. Barcelona should be a better fit than Real Madrid because I'd say Guardiola his approach is a bit similar albeit less focused on fitness and more on movement and passing.
Either way, call me naïve but I can't see him leaving in the next 2 seasons unless things go horribly wrong or he doesn't get backed by Levy anymore.

We win Wednesday, we qualify. Based on that I think Conte will field our strongest team. Just hoping we can get the job done early and make a few changes in the 2nd half. Need to keep in mind of Liverpool on Saturday.

    Yes.

I've seen many top class teams at Celtic Park and they were right up there with the best of the Barcelona teams from a few years ago.

I think the Liverpool game is the most intriguing one tonight, so it's that on the telly and Spurs on the iPad.
Hopefully all the English sides get positive results tonight and tomorrow.

A point and we are virtually through. A win and we are through as group winners I think. A loss and we need a point against Spartak at home to progress.

Not sure about that, if you lose tonight and Spartak win then your in third place.(8,7,6 - 10,9,8).
    Hopefully it's a win tonight,
