You lot have some serious blinkers on if you think that wasn't a penalty
He was always going to give it because in real time it looked a penalty (imo).
It's as clear and obvious an error as you'll see though so I can't believe VAR aren't overturning it. It's a horrific decision.
Ultimately I think Liverpool will be fine in terms of getting out of the groups but there's no excuse for decisions that bad that could potentially cost Liverpool later in the group
Oh dear - Ross Barkley will be getting loads of stick .
Willian wanted that one .
Oh well...not arsed about the result because we will still top the group but to lose a point over that decision is a disgrace.
So, VAR isn't actually there to overturn incorrect decisions then? Whats the ****ing point?
Fair play, that United fan at the top of the page is sticking with it. You already had a bite, go to bed.
oof, van Dijk.
Have to say I am really disappointed by how the team have reacted to going down here.
Completely lost their rhythm and now going home with a 2-0 loss in a game we should have had at least a draw from.
Allowing that midtable standard striker score against us is bloody criminal
We will have to agree to disagree as I’m convinced regardless he’d have given it . He’s a poor ref. And it didn’t look a pen in real time imo.
But yeah no point in VAR when decisions as shocking as that aren’t reviewed. Dreadful.
Napoli beat us in Naples last season and we won number 6 so this just confirms number 7 for me.
To be seen to do something, without really doing it. Presumably.
Can't fault that logic!
Why are Liverpool unbeatable, apart from away games in the CL?
Somebody throw white dogshit at the ref pls.
You can't find it anymore.
Van Dijk showing the world what a fraud he really is. Terrible mistake that.
There was me thinking banter clubs played on Thursday night....
Only saw the pen in real time. Looked conclusive to me. Need to see a replay but sounding like there wasn't much in it.
VAR seems to be getting more decisions wrong then right.
Qnywy this is my fault. I had a bet on Liverpool to win. Sorry not sorry.
To be fair, we had this game boxed off until a ludicrous decision changed it
Now we have to put up with Ferdinand trying to convince us that it was a penalty...
Ha, like clockwork - he thinks it was a penalty. Have TV pundits been told to defend VAR or get booted off air?
Disappointing to lose in that manner, up until that shit decision a draw was a fair reflection of a poor game.
One of Manes poorest performances.
Tbf, Liverpool legend Stephen Warnock thinks it was a pen according to the beeb.
