Kinell you sound more and more like the missus everyday

 oh well, if two referees say penalty, who are we to disagree.

    Absolutely wonderful viewing.

That was never a penalty but that makes this even sweeter.

    Sensational entertainment.

That's a nasty tackle by Coquelin on Mount.

Thats the maddening thing. If the player dives and win a pen its bad enough or just ref makes a wrong decision you win some, lose some

But to have VAR check it and still give the pen, wtf.

Always disliked the idea of VAR, but at the back of your mind you'd think getting these kind of decisions correct could win me (or others) over...but its just been proven to be totally pointless.

You can go off people you know.

Ah, sod bed. I can't sleep so I'm staying up and will try to get a few zs on the flight.

Anyway. Can't complain too much about the result. The penalty decision was a joke but overall we didn't do anywhere near enough to get anything more than a point, and arguably not even that. The 2nd goal I've no doubt wouldn't have happened without the first, which is shit from the players - concentration should have been maintained. But for large parts of the game we were second best, which makes it all the funnier that we were going through a phase of being well on top when they got the penalty.

As for Napoli, what a bunch of whiny little bitches. I really hope we f**k them over big time at Anfield.

I think that just about was a penalty for Napoli. His foot didnt catch the player but his thigh did. Maybe callejon ran into his thigh but it did impede him from getting to the ball

Yeah same here, thought Salah played ok, Firmino poor/average, Mane was poor.

How did it impede him when he was already on his way down?

If Barkley is the first choice penalty taker at the club, then you have to question why Chelsea players caused such a fuss there. Willian stands over him for bloody ages.

It added such unnecessary pressure on Barkley and now on Lampard.

Said it when the draw was made but the CL is going to be a big learning curve for Lampard as a manager and I do not anticipate them making it through the group. Cannot drop anymore points at home now.

It's worth remembering we lost every away leg in the group stages last season.

Indeed. They played better this season in Napoli but have come away with a worse result. What can you say?

Genk away is a banker. Salzburg away looks tricky (from the Genk game) as they have been scoring for fun recently but you just cannot see them outscoring us.

Teams like Liverpool should win all their home games in the groups and this season will be no different.

Ya looking at it again he was on his way down. Also he touched the ball too far away and wasnt going to get to it even if he had gotten past Robertson. Saying all that robertson did get in his way but he should have ran into robertson to win it instead of jumping into him. Var should have seen that jump

Yeah, win your home games and you're through so no need to worry yet. I expect Liverpool to get 9 points at Anfield.

More concerning for Chelsea. Two home wins won't be enough, nor easy, so they're going to probably have to go to Valencia or Amsterdam and get a result.

They have Ajax home and away followed by the away trip to Valencia. Lille away next up is already a must win in my books.

We had 5 players out to be fair. 6 including James. Matter of fact I’m sticking with 6 because there is no way James does any worse than Azpilicueta.

Beating Ajax home and away with our starters is very possible.

He’s not. It’s always been Jorginho.

Napoli will get dicked in the eye at Anfield. Salzburg look full of goals though and they press like mad, need to be careful there.

Yeah I seen their score, I doubt they’ll get as much joy against us but it’ll be no walk in the park.
