Excellent performance and result. So many positives. Jota and Jones the stand out. Alisson when called upon was great, so good to have him back.

How that didn't go in off the post i dont know.

 

Apparently it was Pep Ljinders or Mini Klopp who wanted Jota, and Klopp gave the go ahead. They know what they are doing alright, the club is in good hands thats for sure. Said it elsewhere, but Jota, despite signing for £45 mill, seemed to be an underrated signing from the fans pov; but he's quickly now becoming a fan favourite already. Don't think anyone has expected him to settle like this so soon.

Having said that, I still think Firmino will be given the start at the weekend with Mane and Salah, and for Jota to come on if the game isn't going to plan.

Thought it would be a struggle tonight against Atalanta, I really did, and was fully anticipating points dropped. However the lads absolutely blitzed them, and Liverpool just need one win out of the remaining three games to qualify. Been a while since they made the group stages look so easy!

 

Jota is proving to be a class purchase for Liverpool as expected.

Clean sheets away at Ajax & Atalanta is very impressive considering a untested kid was playing both games.

I think we're gonna miss Virgil less than we think tbh everyone is stepping up, Trent & Gomez have been brilliant defensively since the Everton game.
