So really what has changed ?
Thiago Silva is out.
Yes. Silva is going to be a huge miss, Suarez will be looking forward to playing against Christensen and Rudiger.
Did nothing against them in 2018. Took a Messi master class for them to beat us.
Atletico also only won 1 in 4. Think we are facing them at the best time.
1-1 is my prediction for the Atletico/Chelsea game
Silva is a massive miss, but just as long as we don't start Zouma...!
Really looking forward to this match, it's a huge game for Tuchel. Hope CHO starts. I didn't agree with the treatment he got against Southampton - thought it was a bad move from TT to sub him.
CHO starts. Lineup as expected.
Ziyech, Havertz and Pulisic on the bench. Such disappointments this season.
Looking good, 2-0 already.
There’s a busy nature about Chelsea so far. The possession and pressing isn’t methodical, it’s more intense. I’m enjoying it, I think it’s the best way to play Atletico. Get at them, don’t let them settle into a defensive rhythm.
It’s all very quick. A bit rushed sometimes but Atletico don’t look as comfortable as they can be IMO.
This guys apparently just decided to represent Germany at National level. 17 and scoring im Champs league. Is he the real deal?
Looks like it, he's a real prospect and now Bayern's youngest CL scorer ever.
Shame for England. But i guess given a choice you'd pick serial winners Germany.
Another feather in the cap of the Chelsea Academy. The best in the world.
Really hope Tuchel takes Alonso off for Chilwell. Need to get at their left side.
Absolute Masterclass from Bayern first half, I'm usually critical but that was superb.
Feel a bit for Alonso...getting in good positions then look up no one in the box..... I’d bring on Pulisic for Alonso to actually take on the defender and get to the bye line
Great talent. Would be great if he plays for Germany at adult level. Would make sense, too. Born in Germany (Stuttgart), his mother is German (father is Nigerian).
But tbh his international caps at youth level are a bit strange. Because he lived with his parents then in England he played for England at U15/U16 then suddenly 2 matches for Germany U16, then again for England at U17 and now U21.
At least you can rely on Bayern in Champions League
