Considering it depends 100% on the player I dont think Juve or ourselves have much influence here :shrug

I'm sure Dybala doesn't care about balancing books.

Disaster transfer window if we don't sign a midfielder after losing Herrea.

We got rid of no one as well.

Matic, Mata, Jones, Rojo, Darmian and Young need to go and now we've no time left.

Hope we aren't putting any faith in the Sanchez basket either.

Oh well, was interesting whilst it lasted. Dybala interest ended.

Now that the Dybala thing has seemingly fallen through (granted how much of this is us just pressuring their side remains to be seen) I think we're in deep shit if we don't sign anybody else this window. We have a desperate lack of creativity in the side sans Pogba, who's hot and cold at the best of times and how much does he actually want to be here?

Unless something is going on behind the scenes, doesn't look like anything is going to happen. Hopefully can get Fernandes in.

The Lukaku scenario looks like if Juve go for Icardi and that funds Inter for Lukaku. Never know with the Italian teams as Juve and Inter might do a deal for a Icardi and Dybala swap.

If that article has it correct, I admire Ole for sticking to his guns. Signing high profile players on big wages has got us in this mess.

The article also says we're out of the running for Bruno Fernandes, so unless a rabbit is being pulled out of a hat here, I think besides making Maguire official, we're done for the summer.

Have to say though, smart move on Dybala. Cracking player, would have been exciting. But never looked like he'd be keen and clearly thats not what we need.

I'm not even that bothered by the mandzukic rumors if I'm honest, depending on the wages and the final fee, of course. He offers something different in our attack and has tons of experience at the highest level

Good to get it done, not my 1st choice, or at least not for that price, but our back line looks better overall now and that's a relief.

My concern going into the season is that we've spent around 150mil, but looking at our best side compared to last season, I dont think many would say its 150mil better off. That Herrera loss has hurt, all the options to replace him we seem interested in cost an absolute fortune.

Absolutely have to get a midfielder in at the very least. Even if it's someone senior just to fall back on for some dependability if Fred and McTom don't make the grade.

Optimistic with a few days left

Think we'll be lucky to get one deal done, whether it be Lukaku out with a replacement, or keeping Lukaku and getting a midfielder.
    Even that seems quiet.

Honestly we should just take whatever Inter's next best bid is and run with the money. Get Ben Yedder or any decent forward with a bit of technical ability and be done with it.

Forward line doesn't worry me as much, that midfield isn't good enough for the top 10 nevermind the top 4. It has to be reinforced by Thursday or we're doomed
