Don’t disagree, it’s mad how light we are in midfield.
I've argued for so many season with friends and family about the importance of having a midfielder with an engine. Since Keane left, Hargreaves temporarily filled the VOID.
Chelsea seem to always get that player who is 3 in 1. Makalele, Essien and now Kante.
They are what United require as well as creativity.
This is the closest lukaku has been to showing some balls in the last two years
It doesn’t make a lot of sense. While our three signings have been outstanding. It is clear we also needed some help in the central midfield. I agree with not chasing Dybala, if he doesn’t want to be here why bother. I feel like his caliber of player would have put us back into the title race this year. Without him or somebody similar. A top 4 finish is the best we can expect. I just don’t understand what Ole is looking for that wasn’t available in so many players that have moved and that we were supposedly in for. Up front, I believe we are solid with Martial, Rashford and the several kids that look to me like they might just become the first picks in the near future. Clearly our back 4 are real solid and ready for an entire season even with injuries.
Partey's release clause was not true, right? Next summer, we should look at him, doucoure, or neves
Thank god for that
LETS SPEND THAT MONEY
Welcome back bud.
If we sell Lukaku today I'll be seriously ****ed off if we don't end up signing anybody else, spending just ~£125m over 2 seasons for a club as big as we are with as much shit wrong as we have is simply not good enough.
The Glazers and Ed Woodworm need to **** off.
We are still playing the price for some historic bad signings, that we couldn't move on like Darmien, Rojo and Sanchez, as well as the bad decisions to renew the contracts of Jones and Smalling. With the current setup we are a business first and a football club a distant second, so we should expect to have to work within a transfer and wages budget. I don't like it, but I see it as the reality.
The Glazers are here to stay, but Woodward has to be replaced, or complimented, with a proper director of football.
Well, we had hope but it was false. Naturally
Only thing happening is Rojo to Everton. More money pocketed
The second part of your last sentence won't happen until the scum are out of the club and somebody else owns us.
Or not ...
I thought he'd go as well when he rocked up to training with his agent on deadline day. I saw on BBC and MEN that we demanded too high a price, but I also reckon he's on a packet and didn't want to lower it. No other reason the likes of him, Darmien and co will sit on the bench or in the stands all year, again.
Inter representatives are in the UK to talk to get a deal for Sanchez.
He's been a disappointment and takes him off the wage bill. Is it wise to let him go? I'm not sure it is.
I was actually starting to consider if he'd be a good option in the following line up:
I think we are too light in midfield now that we may have to keep him to allow others to drop deeper when we pick up injuries.
Although getting some of his wages off (I doubt inter will pay all of them so maybe we have to consider partial payment) would be a benefit.
I would see him out. He's been nothing but a disappointment, and while the blame will circle around "was it Jose, was it injuries, was it the player not being arsed, was it the wages" etc etc, I just don't see an outcome where he becomes the player he once was for us.
He might thrive at Inter with some of the pressure off, unfortunately I think the weight of his time at Man Utd will stop him ever showing anything for us.
As with all of our recent poor players or mercenaries, I'd love to be proved wrong, but if he goes I wouldn't worry about being light in any position, because I don't think we're losing anything at all.
£11million loan deal for Sanchez potentially in the works.
I'd sell him for that, it's not like he actually ever plays for us.
Loan and then permanent transfer. Good business.
