Apparently flights into outer space are looking to start this year with people who have already paid $250,000 for a ticket.

Sir Richard Branson is scheduled for the first flight.

Amazing experience it'll be but is it worth risk?

Can't see the point tbf, pay a fortune to whizz around space for a bit looking at bugger all through the porthole and then land again.

People actually trust a company that struggled with the demands of the East Coast mainline to deliver them safely into space?

On a related note, it's absolute horseshit that airlines charge you for wifi on top of your ticket. £700/800 for a flight but Cathay still wanted another £20 out of me for wifi too. :angryfire

I never feel bothered by wifi on a flight tbh, but agree that it is ridiculous that airlines want you to pay extra for the privilege on long haul flights.

More annoying is when it is something like paying for an hour or so at a time at a silly rate.

Sad state of affairs that people can’t just go without.

Especially on something like a flight, where we’re all so used to not having it anyway.

It is like when you go to a wedding venue out in the sticks and they charge about £7 a pint. They know you have no choice to pay if you want it.

Yeah but there you really don’t have a choice. Going on a flight without WiFi, you do.

Exactly. Alcohol at a wedding is a necessity. WiFi on a flight is a luxury.
