Is that it? All the ****ing bluster pre-match and the thread dies a death after just a few post-match posts?

This has disappointed me more than last nights result

As Nathan Jones claims the game was flat (from their point of view ) and we won.

Let the football do the talking !

    ;)

Pre match bluster? Basically Belize hatter amping it up on his own and Steve just taking the piss.

We’ve just spent 5 years in the top flight and we are worlds apart in a lot of ways.

Reading next week already looks a bigger game.

To be fair they have taken the defeat well. I think deep down they knew they'd lose and really, they are just satisfied with being in the same league as us.

There isn't much more to say other than Nathan Jones is a bitter prick

I bet his players were probably more up for playing Man U than us I suspect.

Same for both teams - no crowd etc so cannot really complain.

After tiday whod want him :-) im surprised nobody has been in for him already. He hit what 16? last season in a struggling side. Hes a little one dimensiinal.and needs service but i didnt see many similar to him last season that were better - in two games only for each.

Can you keep most of your lot? I was impressed with Chalaboh today. Looked like he did his groin tho. Shame we didnt have Rea today that would have been a fun battle. Not sure that Brazilian you all rave about will hack it in the Championship. Too pretty

Id hoped youd do a Huddersfield and be all airey fairy foreign shit, but on todays showing that sadly wont be the case.....Just shit ;-).

We just need to move on, lick our wounds, take our shit and concentrate on the main course of Championship consolidation. We'll see about the gravy later in the season at The Kenny.

Shut up. If anything we were overly wound up and tight. No flow. A lot of it was down to you and you did a better job of closing our midfield off and pressing and forced us.long that your back three gobbled up

Youd think we just got tonked having read some of that drivel. You won 1-0 with a deflected goal. A few scrambles and a couple of routine saves. For all your balls in and midfield control i recall little else. Id be concerned about that. Sadly from our perspective there was zero pressure on your goal.

I think he was just disappointed both didn't teams weren't making it feel like a real derby.

I guess you are right - save for once when Collins hit the back we held out in defence pretty well.

And got around the full backs a few times but the final ball wasn't always there.

Pedro is already showing hes well up for the physical battle this league provides. He seriously is insanely good. Just turned 19 today so what a future he has.

Given he’s only 19 and you had a couple of cloggers trying to take him out all game, thought he did exceptionally well.

He’s going to be some player.

Pissed off as you'd expect and perhaps us fans were too confident of getting something hence the gut wrenching post match feeling. Been a while since I've experienced that. Realistically we have to realise we aren't quite there yet in terms of matching relegated PL clubs with all their financial resources. Yes it does make a huge difference! Not having any fans at the game watered down this fixture, shame as it could have been some spectacle. Still confident we will comfortably stay up this season. This team will improve. As for the yellow ones. The transfer window will tell, but wasn't overly impressed with them yesterday. Sure they were better than us on the day but not by much.

They were crapping themselves in case we came and upset the apple cart. But i dont expect them to admit it. Any more than i would have. Its a derby for the first time in years and spirits run hugh .

We had a free hit, swung and missed. This time. Of course they should be better and win more often with our respective last decade of relative histories and finances. I read 7 years ago there was an 88 place defecit between our League positions. Its closer now.

They were better than i hoped. Wanted a Stoke, Middlesboro or Huddersfield and they looked more a West Brom Fulham Swansea - in our short Chamionship experience.

Im still hoping they fail to adapt to the League this year and then the next when the stars drift away and the money runs short. Then we will see who is who what is what and we will return to being King round here pretty soon.

The lads on there are they ?

It's where the rumours of Luton fans coming to smash up the place and the Graham Taylor statue came from ..
