Ireland have somehow hired a worse Keane for the assistant manager job
Made his U-21 debut today and got a goal & an assist, after being named POTS in the U-23 Prem earlier in the month. Still only 18, really excited to see if Potter gives him a chance.
Less than a year later
(Ignore the fact I spelt his name wrong)
Aaron Connolly: Brighton winger called up to Republic of Ireland squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers
Fair enough, he's come on and you'd say he's their second brightest prospect behind Obafemi.
My point still stands though overall, in that they really aren't producing players at the same rate of countries they should be. There's very few young Irish players playing at a decent level, and I think long term there prospects are looking bleak. They look a long way off producing a team similar to the one that last qualified for a world cup.
Naa he’s scored more in the prem than obafemi already, Connolly is the brighter prospect imo
Well it's obviously really early to say, but again it's not really the point I'm making.
