Why would he go to Everton though? It's a poisoned chalice. Huge expectations that aren't embedded in reality, and he'd have to totally overhaul a below par squad. I think he will only leave for a proper top 6 side, and he hasn't proven himself enough for a job of that size yet.

I have no idea how Emery hasn’t been sacked by now, he hasn’t really improved Arsenal. In fact he made them worse, despite having better players than Wenger.

The board doesn't want to admit they were wrong in hiring him. They also like having a yes man in place.

May be a left field shout but I think Pellegrini will go next.

it really isn't, there is a reason we are second in the league and Arsenal are midtable

Left field? Even though he's one of the names mentioned in the opening post, and currently 3rd favourite to go next?

  12. Like the time @Muller "called it" that Maguire would make an improvement on United's defence.

Sentiment aside, Auba gets in ahead of Vardy imo.

The feel good factor of Rodgers coming in after the struggles with the previous manager is a factor. I'm genuinely curious to see how both him and the players deal with the inevitable bad run when it happens.

As long as he can keep his forward line firing then they will be alright imo. At Liverpool once Sturridge (and then Coutinho) joined alongside Suarez (and Sterling) to when Suarez went, we played 56 league games and won 35 (D12, L9).

And that was an incredibly inexperienced manager. Since then he has gone and managed to sustain a side to league titles and cup wins - albeit in a far weaker league.

Whatever people’s opinions of this Arsenal squad are, it should NOT be dropping points to the likes of Watford, Sheffield United and then Palace, Wolves and Southampton AT HOME.

There’s your 11 point gap :shrug
