Massive game for us. Coming off the back of 2 defeats we really need to win this. We could come out of today either with 6th in our hands with 3 games left or out of the European places for the first time in a while.

Hoping we play 3-4-3 but Traore has been struggling with the shoulder and Neto is touch and go too. Might be the day where we finally see Podence?

    I think we'll go 3-5-2

    Patrício

    Boly Coady Saïss

    Doherty Dendoncker Neves Moutinho Jonny

    Raúl Jota

I would rather we swapped Vinagre in for Doc and moved Jonny over to the right though. Doherty was atrocious against Sheffield United.

Doherty hasn't been great since the restart way too many crosses come in from his side for my liking, needs addressing in the window.

All of a sudden he's started looking like he's a good few levels below the rest of the squad in term of quality. I'm not slating him here, he's done brilliantly to have come this far considering how bad he was before Nuno.

One of my favourite young players to come through Sporting in the last decade. Glad to see he got a start today!

He's been absolutely electric. Completely different player to what we've had before. £16M will end up being a bargain.

Pickford is awful. Genuinely in contention for the worst starting keeper in the league.

I said last night the break came at right time for Sterling, going the other way I've seen **** all from DCL since the lockdown.

Pickford has all this arrogance yet I'm struggling to see what he's so cocky about.

Yeah he’s a very nippy and electric player as you’ve said. Very different player to Jota, Neto and Traore which will be great having those options next season

We've often struggled to break down teams who park the bus against us, I think Podence has been brought in to give us an option in those situations. He's the the only forward player in our team capable of threading the ball through a low block with one pass and he's so dangerous in tight situations with defenders around him.

Jota and Adama are great when they're running at players and Neto just has that top level pace and touch of magic but Podence might be the player who can help take us to the next level.
