Thought i'd start our own thread, see how it goes. .

I'll start with this. . .Iran would get football stopped, 10 men behind the ball for the entire game so far here.

I've enjoyed some of it but this tonight from Iran is everything that's wrong with football.

    And that's just their Vuvuzelas.

From what I've seen an average team will win this World Cup.

I keep switching off during the matches. A couple of decent moments but on average the games have been a bit stale.

I don't blame Iran for playing that way, what's the point in going out and getting beat 5-0, they are doing a very good defensive job so far and keeping the game a contest.

Russia have looked the best side so far but against limited opposition.

Been really surprised with Uruguay, I thought they would be a real attacking side who play with flair but they have scrapped two results so far and are needing Godin at the back to drive them forward.

I would expect the like of Germany and France to improve but as of yet its anyone's guess who wins it.

    Better game now.

I've got Costa top scorer and Spain to win it at 66/1 so hoping he bags another here.

There hasn’t really been one outstanding team so far.

Although they lost the first game I still think Germany will be there or thereabouts in the end.

We've been linked with Azmoun the Iranian striker a few times.

    Been impressed with him.

Brazil and Germany will come good. Not sure about France though...

When you see the threat they carry going forward then it makes me wonder why they didn't take the game to them.

Tournament never really starts until the knockout stage.

VAR is proving to be a very good addition to the game in this tournament IMO.

    I agree.

Can’t believe the amount of moaning about something that is there to actually make the right decisions and ensure things are as fair as possible.

Exactly, a lot of the early problems with it seem to be ironed out as well.

It’s never going to be perfect and it will take time for many to get used to it but ultimately it’s for the good of the game and it can actually be quite exciting when waiting on a decision.

Probably didn't help that the one time it wasn't used well was with England involved .

5live and Talksport were still going on about the miss penalties today !

    Thank goodness we won..

Looking like there could be three good games today. Hoping for a win for the Australians and Argentina. This will be a tough game for Argentina as Croatia have a lot of quality in the middle of the park. I think Modric is one of the best midfielders in the world, if not the best.

I think Croatia will beat Argentina.

Mordic and Rakitic in the middle will control the game.
