CFC sais > Celtic Park on a champions league night - nothing like it, unbelievable stuff.

Went to a game in America, PPL Park. The stadium was alright, but just no atmosphere at all.[/QUOTE]

Some of the German stadia are really steep aren't they?

For me the best two stadiums in Europe outside England are The Amsterdam Arena and The Allianz Arena. Im also fond of Vitese's ground with the enclosed metal roof.

This one is a little different

I've always liked the look of the Braga stadium.

Best has got to be Peterborough in terms of atmosphere in the away end, acoustics there are brilliant... In terms of my favourites, there are a few that are up there: Leicester, Rhyl, Bolton for different reasons.

The old away end at Peterborough was fabulous. Terrace with a low roof that meant even a relatively small following could generate a good noise. Then they demolished it. Vandals.

Yeah, that was a great away end. Shame that stand is seated now, don't really have much interest in going back there.

Even though it is not everybody's cup of tea and is a cramped shoebox. I still Love Loftus Road. Another one that seems to be disliked is Selhurst Park, but I like Selhurst Park always been a good crowd and atmosphere whenever I have been. The Valley I like as well. Highbury, great old stadium was Highbury. And the City Ground, never won there but liked the ground all the same. And Villa Park, hope they never have a stupid idea and move from there, that would be tragic.

Ones I didn't like. Plough Lane, real dive was Plough Lane, Luton is terrible, never again. was not overstruck by Adams Park, strange ground I thought. Wembley, I like the look of the ground, but its just Wembley itself, they should have built the stadium elsewhere. Aldershot, pre-season friendly and the fans there were quite hostile, I ended up behind a goal that had no stand, not sure if it does now, but a tip all the same.

You should have gone to Wigan's Springfield Park. Virtually all uncovered with the away end consisting of about ten rows of concreted terrace, then a grassy slope up to a corrugated iron shed at the top. Incredibly bad..good fun though.

My only visit was going to watch Wigan - Stoke with my Stokie mate in 1992 I think. Stoke lost 4-0 and Alan Ball was sacked. Great day out.

Which one in Hamburg? Volksparkstadion (HSV) or Millerntor (St.Pauli)? Both are great but for me the Volksparkstadium is the best because it's my second "home" ;)

Funny that you love the Emirates. I visited it once and for me this is the worst one I visited in the UK in 30 years mainly because I was so disappointed about the atmosphere. Of course it's all modern but for me this isn't important, I like the old stadiums more (I visited Highbury a few times and liked it way more)

    Best:
(in Germany): Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Signal Iduna Park (aka Westfalenstadion) in Dortmund
(in UK): Molineux, Deepdale and Anfield

and honourably mention: The (old) Den at Millwall. I visited it in the 80's and the early 90's (last match ever at the old Den against Bristol Rovers (if my memory is right). Absolutely no comfort but I liked every minute in it.

    Worst:

in Germany: Weserstadion in Bremen (ok,mainly because I can't stand the club ;) )
    in UK: Emirates in London
