Best in england is probably Peterborough for the terraced away end, though i always had a soft spot for highbury (before the seats went in) and also like Orient. Also loved Maine Road too, sketchy as hell outside but a great atmosophere inside

Best abroad i've been to is probably the San Siro, one of the few iconic grounds that lives up to what you expect.

Worst in this country Fratton, Luton then any of the big club grounds that just show all that is wrong with english football. Also Derby's old baseball ground and Reading's elm road were both shitholes with chunks of the ground falling off (which the Derby fans used to launch at us)

Worst abroad i've been to is probably Steau's ground, uncovered away end, police that wanted any excuse to beat you and small lakes masquerading as puddles outside.

The (away) terrace is no longer at Peterborough, only the home terrace now unfortunately. A real shame as it was a cracking away end and most of the pubs in the city are open to away fans too.

Best - Benficas old Stadium of Light. Nothing has come close since.

Worst - Not been to many bad grounds. Probably Windsor Park before the revamp. Bit of a shithole.

Windsor Park really was a hole before the revamp. Yet it was still by far the best stadium here. I laugh when people claim grounds like the Emirates, Old Trafford and Fratton Park are the worst they have seen.

Best ground Villa Park a proper football ground. Honary mentions for Anfield & Goodison. I'm no fan of the new flat pack stadia that's blighting football these days. Maine Road with all its ginnels was a place where you kept an eye on each other's backs but has been said cracking atmosphere inside, then you have The Etihad nothing frightening or intimidating there. Also like Home Park.

Worst grounds Kenilworth Road, absolute shocking walking over folks back yards & The Withdean was awful, so far away from the field of play, mind I did witness a Fab Delph wonder goal there. Last time I visited, been twice it was lashing it down & BHA issued us with ponchos which were really pointed. It looked more like a Klan meeting than football fans.

Used to be a regular visitor to Seaview. Not a bad little ground for the Irish league but absolutely bollock freezing down the Railway End.

Oh aye, still freezing I found. Not been in a few years. In fact I stopped going just before they started winning the league.

Foreign grounds... Nou Camp but it was only a tour. Salt Lake Stadium (India, family’s local club) but only on a tour and when it held over 100,000 people. For an actual match Amsterdam ArenA. Made even better by quality transport links.

    In UK...

Wembley I found boring so put it down in one of worst but we beat Leeds infront of probably 50,000 of their lot. Millennium stadium completely blew me away (and can still here Goodnight Irene now). Easily one of the best.

Actual football league grounds... I’ll do a top 3 and bottom 3.

    1) Villa Park - I think nostalgia plays a part cos some of my youngest memories was Everton games away at Villa as we have family friends who are Villa. Went there with Donny and had behind the goal, 6000k of us. It should be law that they’re never allowed to move stadiums.

    2) St James’ Park (Newcastle) - what a f*cking city! Atmosphere was bang on, good location and that view from outer space us away fans get simply never leaves you. Only been with Donny.

    3) Prefer my lower league grounds, so yeah it might be weird considering I’ve been well over 100 stadiums old and new in this country, but f*ck it im nostalgic and Yeovil’s Huish Park is 3rd. One of the away grounds I went to most regular when I was a kid and Yeovil and Donny were deciding to do a mini conga into leagues. It’s terraced, it’s behind the goal and it’s not full of f*cking Vlogging, Tourist, Spoilt w*nkers... What’s not to love?!

P.S just realised all those grounds (bar Amsterdam) I’ve been to games there with my dad. Maybe that’s played a part in why I look back so fondly?

Think our last match together was Crystal Palace v Doncaster, 5th December 2009. We lost 3-0, my dad took me to the bank and emptied me of all £210 of my backdated EMA money (remember that?!), for his sup money and I couldn’t buy what I’d planned to while waiting for it to arrive (7 weeks:laugh:). Bastard. Chalk that game down as my most disliked:laugh:

It does me too, it honestly sums up my dad to a tee:laugh:

Stuff he’s done to every mate, our family and me you’d think we’d hate him but really deep down we all love him to bits and always bring up stories of him (he’s alive still, not memoirs:laugh:).

Another story... We went Villa V Everton for a night game and they refused to sell me a child ticket on the gate, adult prices only. So my dad asks them if he can pay by cheque and they agree... He cancels the f*cker first thing next morning

Doug Ellis sent him a letter about it as well haha.

Best Home ground visited had to be St. James's Park on my mates 18th back in 1985 , the atmosphere at the game v Man. Utd was the loudest by Geordie fans I've ever witnessed.

The Worst Ground Victoria Park Hartlepool.
Went up on the train to watch Posh play mid 80's, strange day because all the Southern games had been postponed due to snow & ice but Northern games were on, i decided to stand on the edge of concrete step & wiggle feet about to keep warm which duly gave way & saw me head butting metal railings & watching game half concussed in a 3-0 away win seeing Posh go top of Division 4.

Think of the compo i could claim in this day & age. :thumb
