Middlesborough is nowhere near Yorkshire
Even though it's in North Yorkshire?
'Historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, in 1968 the town became the centre of the County Borough of Teesside, which was absorbed by the non-metropolitan county of Cleveland in 1974. In 1996 Cleveland was abolished, and Middlesbrough became a unitary authority, within the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire.'
Middlesborough is in Yorkshire?
Can we have some Boro fans clear this up please! Lol
I'm pretty sure Teeside is not part of Yorkshire, Barnsley are no-where near Middlesborough. Middlesborough isn't that far from North Yorkshire.
It's a grey area generally I think, as I don't think North Yorkshire is included in postal addresses in 'Boro, but it is definitely in the Ceremonial county of North Yorkshire if nothing else.
Here we go again......for the uneducated ones in here Middlesborough is in fact in Yorkshire.....the fact it's at the side of a river called the Tees has squat to do with it.
For the Forest fan, yes that means Brian Clough was in fact a Yorkshireman!
Think I just threw up..
I'll believe that it is in Yorkshire. If Teeside or Cleveland aren't another county. 1996 is 2 years after the atlas i have was published, so this Cleveland place may have been abolished and perhaps Middlesborough is in Yorkshire. I'd say I'm not too bothered but i am. This debate has diverted our attention away from the match, i think Middlesborough will win but i hope they don't for our play-off chances. 2-0 to the North Yorkshire-men my prediction.
Middlesbrough is in North Yorkshire.
The River Tees is the natural barrier to Durham.
Yorkshire used to play cricket at Middlesbrough.
jesus christ, can you imagine going to this match,it would be like a scene from walking dead.
I love it how we go through this shit every time boro play another team in Yorkshire. haha
Not going to this, will be at Saints though.
I think we might give this ago, like we did at Leicester. However I can't see past a win for North Yorkshire's Finest.
Someone from Mansfield has the timerity to post this?.......you just couldn't make it up!
yeah it is due to it been part of yorkshire
Where's the best place to park for the game please Boro fans?
Can't we just have a game of beach volleyball instead?
As you get into the town centre near the stadium you'll see a big cinema aim for that park up just at the back of that it was free last time a short walk to the ground under a few roads and jobs a good un
Here's how I hope we lineup:
Magooder's prediction: Boro 2-1 Barnsley
