    What a brilliant thread.

Ok here goes I have loads but can't be bothered to go searching for them right now but the ones that spring to mind are as follows:

The colour of a mans skin is no more significant than the colour of his eyes. Used by bob marley in the song war but it actually comes from a speech made to the united nations by Selassie of Ethiopia.

Its not the food you eat but the words that come out of your mouth that defiles the man / person. Biblical quote from mathew.

Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph.” Selassie

    That's my new favourite quote.

I have many I'm fond of but my mind is a blank right now. The above quote perfectly encapsulates my feelings right now...

There's a letter that Hendrik Witbooi wrote to the Governor of German South-West Africa Theodor Leutwein that I wanted to post but I cannot find it on the Internet and cannot be bothered to go all the way through a book to find it. I would recommend 'The Kaiser's Holocaust', however. It's in there...

    What are your favorite quotes?

...they can inspiration, about life, or anything really.

    These are my favorites.

“You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”

“One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure its worth watching.

“We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will.”
