We only recruit for permanent staff and as you say the 50p difference in hourly wage can sometimes make the difference.

We sell our candidates on working environment and the a free lunch usually closes the deal.

Forgot to add that this morning I’m going to an interview for a full time job, that’ll change things.

Yeah, was all blue collar temp work we dealt with though in the construction sector. Very competitive.

I'm a claims adjuster for an insurance solutions company - we basically handle accounts for large Lloyd's reinsurers. Companies that have percentage stakes in massive accounts (one of our client's has a 3.5% stake in the Tottenham Hotspur stadium construction policy for example).

It's a bit boring in fairness, certainly not as interesting as the motor claims fraud I was dealing with before redundancy in August.

I work in a forensic mental health hospital, NHS. It's pretty tedious and I've grown to dislike the NHS but to be honest and I'm just too lazy to get another job and it pays the bills.

I work on the oven at a big industrial bakery on Grimsby Docks doing 4 on 4 off nights, easy job but in the Summer the ambient temp can some nights be over 40.c and it gets pretty unbearable. Tonight it’s just a nice cool 28.c on there.

Anyone else feel they work with a bunch of greedy self interested bastards?

Had a job to do few weeks back that didn’t happen, so I did one for a mate so they got home 2 hours earlier.

2-3 pipe up “oh can you do a bit for me too” piss off, they’ve done something for me before so I’m doing it now.

Always the same people too, I reckon they budget for overtime/bonus even when they don’t get it because they’re always moaning about money.
