For us, it'd probably have to be Andi Weimann due to his superb first 5 games, but he's not done so brilliantly since. Lloyd Kelly comes close but his performances have dipped recently, and so does Matty Taylor who's done very well recently.

Was he the bloke who knocked Baker clean out with one of his shots at your place at the back end of last season?

Our last home game I think?

Your bloke off on a stretcher.

Hard to pick one out after what’s been a great collective effort so far. Duffy ? McGoldrick ? Henderson ? Norwood ? Egan ? To be honest could go through whole team

I’ve been watching Sheffield United for over 40 years and its a really weird situation in that we don’t really have a “best player”.
We don’t have anyone who can produce a bit of magic (David Brooks was the only one that had star quality but he’s been sold to Bournmouth) to score a goal from nothing, no long shots either in fact we rarely ever shoot from outside the box.

However we do have numerous good players with an excellent first touch who can consistently pass to feet.
They are well coached playing a nice simple passing game within a team framework.
Last season Paul Coutts was our most important player as he was the deep lying “pass to” midfielder who had more touches of the ball than any other player. He broke his leg last November which was a massive loss and our season dipped afterwards, now we have Oliver Norwood playing this really important role and doing it really well.

If I had to choose a favourite player, it’s the floating creative midfielder Mark Duffy.
He’s total class, great to watch and it’s quite incredible that he’s spent much of his career in the lower divisions.

Our best player has been Norwood, purely because his addition made the team tick. He's done nothing spectacular but he's allowed us to play our game in the way we want and that's a big reason for our improvement.

Not sure about best but agree that Norwood is probably our most important cog in the machine. As you say nothing fancy, always showing for the ball, generally takes the ball off the defenders and makes composed simple short and long passes, very consistent.

Unlike last season where it was Maddison every week it's a lot harder to pick this year, we're a far more balanced side now.

I suppose for sheer goals, work rate and attitude I'd pick Teemu Pukki but you could make strong cases for a lot of others.

We're a team that doesn't have stand out players, so it's hard to pick a 'best' player. The reason I said Norwood for this season so far is purely based on what it's done for the rest of the side.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson. His goals to minutes ratio is superb this season.

For Hull, probably Jackson Irvine when he hasn't been injured.
De Wijs has had some fantastic games, but also a couple of shockers as well.
Bowen hasn't got into top gear yet so he's ruled out for me.
Hard to say when they're bottom of the league... :D

Gwion Edwards for me. A little bit inconsistent but then again he’s a winger. Has a trick and a shot, puts himself about, keeps getting back up, works hard chasing back. Like his attitude as much as anything, hope his fitness holds out.
