One for @Dirk ! More longer term but there is a kit row brewing in Germany too . Row erupts over German football team switching supplier from Adidas to Nike
I love those. Still miss the good old days when people would run onto the pitch and rip up their STs before they ruined it by changing to plastic cards.
Yeah, no drama in just throwing a card on the floor. Soon when it's all e-cards it'll just be removing it from your Google Wallet in protest.
High hopes for this lad https://x.com/viaplaysportsuk/status/1771226534352732189?s=46&t=lOEtg8r65LRSEae2okhBdQ
Palmer , Henderson and Kane out of the Brazil game. Shame for Palmer but others get a chance to be second fiddle to Kane .
Scotland are somehow managing to lose 2-0 to Netherlands despite having loads of chances. Their finishing has been terrible.
I remember someone burning theirs when Birmingham beat us 7-0 at home in 1998 . Yeah it's really not the same with the plastic cards. It's also completely symbolic. Someone could have a hissy fit and throw their season card away but you can always get it replaced by showing some ID and paying a small admin fee for a new card. Those old paper books were very expensive to replace if you lost or deliberately destroyed it.
Spain's preparations not going too well. Lost 0-1 to Colombia last night. Luis Diaz setting up our Daniel Munoz for an unbelievable goal
Day about to start going down to London. I've never seen Brazil play (why would I need to when I get to see Cov every week?) so I'm looking forward to it. I know it's a friendly but still.
Enjoy your day & don't forget to pop to Fortnum & Masons for a meal deal , it'll be cheaper than Wembley's prices for drinks & snacks I watched Scotland's highlights earlier , was never a 4-0 match & was good to see Stevenage's Jamie Reid at 29 scoring on his debut for Northern Ireland . Not sure if Sammie Szmodics gets game time for EIRE whether that benefits Posh in some of our £700k of add ons we have with Blackburn , hope so
Whatever the result sure there will be an over reaction to what is a friendly. Anthony Gordon makes his debut. Ollie Watkins up front. Pickford; Walker, Stones, Maguire, Chilwell; Gallagher, Rice; Foden, Bellingham, Gordon; Watkins.
Why is England v Brazil in the euros thread? Anyway I much preferred these games when Brazil had more world class players and the most between the 2 teams
