Solskjaer is only being considered as interim, if Tuchel is sacked before the end of the season. Alonso is apparently the main choice, and because Liverpool are also after him it has forced Bayern also to declare that interest. Flick is also a possibility.
Down there? Up there, Hamburg is north of Hildesheim ....or what do you mean? Flick is available, they could've hired him if they wanted it but they didn't. Maybe Uli is still upset about him leaving? Some coaches (like Heynckes or Hitzfeld) came back to Bayern but I don't think it would be a smart move for Flick or Bayern if he comes back. Tbh I expected a lot from him as Bundestrainer, and it began very promising with 7 (or 8?) wins in a row (but tbh not against the top teams) but the further it went the more disillusioned I became about him *********************** btw: HSV "security" (shown left and right of the intruder) caught an "intruder" in an HSV tracksuit when he entered the HSV training facility. Bold(t) move
zippy I've copied your post from the "Klopp leaving" thread in the PL section because I didn't want to bring it OT there with my post: Wow, didn't know that it was so bad (relatively speaking, I post one for the last 10 HSV coaches below ). I once read in kicker that Tuchel already matched Nagelsmann losses with 40 matches less. Nagelsmann had 10 losses in 84 matches, Tuchel already 11 losses in 44! For Bayern these 2.02 ppg are embarrassing but to put these 2.02 pts per match into perspective: At HSV he would be top with it. We sacked all our coaches in the 2.Bundesliga so far but Tim Walter had the best ppg of any HSV coaches since Ernst Happel in the 80s (I still could cry when I see the ppg of the 7 matches of Bernd Hollerbach who brought us finally down for the first time ever. We should have installed Christian Titz earlier from the youth team, his ppg isn't great either but would be way enough to save us) ****************************************** Friday's matches in the 1./2. Bundesliga #1 Bayer Leverkusen vs #17 Mainz 05 Looks easy on the paper for Bayer, but isn't. Mainz with a new coach already got him a win last weekend against Augsburg and are eager to get out of the direct relegation places. it's only 1 pt to #16 Köln (but already 7 pts to #15 Gladbach ()) ********************** #2 Holstein Kiel vs #1 St.Pauli Top match in the 2. Draw would be good, if it is a win for someone I would prefer St.Pauli () because it would give HSV the chance on Sunday to close the gap to Kiel to 1pt . We'll play against the surprise team, newbie SV Elversberg, currently at #9. I'd like to forget this 1st leg in the Saarland where HSV lost and then the rollercoaster season began. Hopefully we can give new coach Steffen Baumgart 3points in his first match!!! Other match is: #13 SV Wehen Wiesbaden vs #6 SV Paderborn edit: I merged this post with the previous one from midnight. I don't want to have 3 posts in a row from me
Lol Tuchel blaming everyone but himself. I've seen this before. I can't play an attacking game because of the defensive weaknesses. DeLigt Kim Mazraoui Neuer Davies Ok.
If you're worried about the quality in the defence then signing Eric Dier probably doesn't help things. But hey I guess it gives someone for Harry Kane to chat to.
Long time not seen these pics Stoppage time decider. Bayern-like! btw: Actual it's Magdeburg vs Schalke. If I remember it right you have connections to Magdeburg? And I wish them also a win (mainly because of their coach, ex-HSVer) Yesterday's top match Holstein Kiel vs St.Pauli 3-4. Big chance for HSV tomorrow to close the gap to 1 pt. This smells like.....
Generally when a non-fancied team looks set to win a league its hard for me to wrap my head around it. I am a born pessimist and there is a part of me that is always doubtful that everything is going to fall apart at some stage. I still remember when Leicester won the PL. At no stage was I convinced that they were going to do it till the last few games. Napoli were mush more convincing last season because they had a comprehensive lead. Just checked the Bundesliga league table today. 8 point lead with 11 games to go and Bayern are not in any real form. What an amazing achievement. This is the kind of stuff that I unfortunately expected from Mourinho. Mourinho goes to Spurs and wins them the league. Mourinho goes to Roma and wins them the league. Basically Mourinho goes to various clubs and promotes his daughter's jewellery brand.
thank god, not HSV gave Steffen Baumgart a 1-0 win in his first match. First time since November that we didn't concede a goal in a home match. Now we're just 1pt behind Holstein Kiel, St.Pauli still 7 pt ahead, though. Anyway, I wouldn't mind if St.Pauli goes up and is better placed for the first time in 70 years....if we also go up -------------- Dortmund bottled another match, against Hoffenheim, at home. From 0-1 to 2-1 to 2-3. WTF is going on with this team? ***************************** addendum: HSV (and me ) distancing (us) from the Hate-Banners of the HSV Ultras against the Police at the sunday home match: It says on the Banners: " Never Friend - Never Helper" (means against the slogan "Polizei- Dein Freund und Helfer" (police, your friend and helper)) and " (The whole of) Hamburg hates the Police" (no not the "whole of", it's just you idiots) It was about a police action against a train of HSV fans on the return from Rostock last weekend. You can discuss the actions of the Police because also innocent HSV fans had to wait several hours during the action but police had information that several wanted "fans" were amongst them and they were arrested. I had to ask my mate next to me in the stadium what "ACAB" means on the Banner. He didn't know it either and I had to google it. It's the english abbreviation of a "common" german "slogan" against the Police. Embarrassing and pathetic from some of the HSV fans tbh. btw: HSV's actual crowd average of the 2023/23 season is 55.628 (11 home matches). Liverpool has actually 53.852 (13 home matches), according to transfermarkt.de. Zuschauer Hamburger SV | 2. Bundesliga 2023/24 FC Liverpool - Besucherzahlenentwicklung
Friday's Bundesliga (1./2.) results: #8 SC Freiburg vs #2 Bayern 2-2 Tuesday is the 2nd leg in the CL against Lazio at home. Maybe Tuchel's last match (if they don't win)? Anyway, big chance for Bayer Leverkusen to expand the gap to Bayern to 10 points. But they have to play against neighbour Köln (both cities are only approx. 10 km apart) in the "Rhein-Derby". Köln needs every points, actually they hold the relegation playoff spot but they already have an 8pt gap to #15 Bochum. *********************** #8 Hertha BSC vs #2 Holstein Kiel 2-2 (funny, same constellation as in 1.Bundesliga with the same result ) Lucky draw for Holstein with a penalty in the 90+8th minute! Anyway, not bad for HSV #14 Schalke 04 vs #1 St.Pauli 3-1 Schalke could "climb" a place with this much needed win. St.Pauli now with the 2nd loss. If HSV wins on Sunday at home against #18 Osnabrück then they could climb to #2 spot again and could also close the gap to St.Pauli to 4 pts (and both clubs, Holstein and St.Pauli, still have to come to the Volkspark). Osnabrück could only win 2 matches so far but both wins were against top5 teams, Hannover 96 and....HSV. So we should be warned about them and Coach Steffen Baumgart did exactly this in the Friday's press conference.
I see your progress in learning German, Adz tbh I like 2.Bundesliga (not that I don't want HSV to get back to 1.Bundesliga) Did you know that the 2.Bundesliga has already reached Spains La Liga and France's Ligue1 in crowd average? (1.Bundesliga was always way ahead of both in crowd average). And that for a 2nd tier league I had a Nightmare this night that HSV bottles it against Osnabrück (after I mentioned that they only have 2 wins all season). Hopefully not a jinx from me. If we really lose both matches against the last placed team in the league then I promise to take a break from posting here, so that HSV won't be jinxed again. No, I'm not superstitious...but ****************** edit: btw, Tuchel openly criticizes his team after the 2-2 in Freiburg. What a twat. He's already the worst Bayern coach for decades but it's always the team never the system of the coach. Nagelsmann was way better than this overrated guy. At least he's done in the Bundesliga after this season (at the latest) and we won't have to hear his post match interviews anymore Eric Dier's contract automatically extended until the end of the next season after he played in 5 matches (now 6. At Spurs he only had 4 this season). Ah, yes, and Freiburg was (and still is) 9th in the Bundesliga and not 8th as I wrote in my last post. Have to correct it for my "salvation"
