Not over until it's mathematically over. Bayern need to be perfect but Leverkusen are capable of wobbling. Seeing Leicester do the same in the Championship when promotion seemed a certainty a few games ago.

Leverkusen strong favourites but Bayern at least need to place some pressure. Today was a good day for the goal difference.

If Pavlovic "just looks like a meh player" to you, I wonder what you've seen Kimmich do "much else" in central midfield. What has he done there else, other than lose the ball?

Bayern 8:1 Mainz, with Kimmich at RB, who played at an acceptable level at RB, as opposed to in central midfield. Against Lazio, Pavlovic starred and impressed at CM, and against Mainz, Laimer starred and impressed at CM. Kimmich now looked OK at RB, nothing special, but nowhere near the amount of failure he produces in the central position.

Anyways, Bayern did well, and Kane was magnificent, as usual. Even Gnabry looked in his 19/20 mood, with a stylish finish. It'll be interesting to see how Bayern do in the CL, and whether Kane can break Lewandowski's newly set 41 goal record.

Isn't that a huge demise from our friend Josh? Was so hyped up and so good a couple of seasons ago and now he has to play out of position to start for (a very shit) Bayern. I'll watch Kimmich more closely next time I catch Bayern (probably against us?). Laimer doing the job isn't that much of an uberraschung for me.

He was correctly hyped up when he really was a great player. However, how you played three years ago might be useful for reference or comparison, but it should have no relevance in judging how good you currently are.

I just don't see why so many people are keen on blasting players like Coman, or Musiala after they have three bad games, yet Kimmich can play badly in 60 games, yet the same people either keep ignoring that, or jumping to his defense.

Don't get me wrong. If Kimmich plays well again, I'll be the first to claim to be his "biggest fan". I just don't think he'll manage that this season. He has a few seasons left to return to the supreme form he once had.

I blasted Goretzka last season, but now I'm starting to like what I'm seeing of him again.

Except that it is. It doesn't matter how many goals you win by, you're trailing a team that doesn't lose; by 10 points, only 9 games left, and you don't play them again so can't affect their results.

Bayern's improved form does mean that you could do something in the CL though. Your remaining Bundesliga games are really only for building form heading into those games.
Based on what? Neverlusen are unbeaten in every competition! lol

Even after that 8-1 win Bayern's GD is still trailing.

Saarbrücken beat Mönchengladbach meaning there will be a non-Bundesliga side in the DFB Pokal final as they will play Kaiserslautern in the semi finals.

Dirk isn't there to give us updates I see. We miss you man!

Pauli & Kiel are marching on and heading to promotion while Fortuna have temporarily taken that 3rd play-off spot before Hamburg 's game today (hosting Wiesbaden). A HSV win would mean they'd be still 5 points from 2nd and direct promotion which doesn't look great wtih 8 games to go BUT they are hosting Kiel in a month which could change things if they beat them.
At the bottom, Braunschweig are 2nd-bottom (seriously, bad season for D) despite winning at Paderborn on Friday. Some big names could go down (Lautern, Rostock, Schalke) and join Osnabrück in the Drei next season.

It's very tight in the 3rd tier with Ulm, Dresden, Regensburg & Münster all fighting within 3 points. Little Unterhaching could join the party if they win at Sandhausen this afternoon.

Leverkusen with two late goals for about the 50th time this season.

Indeed, when Bayern do it it's "Bayern dusel", but I don't recall Bayern ever having this much "dusel". I don't mind Bayern not winning the title this year, a year without a trophy is not a big deal, but I don't recall a team having this much luck ever tbh.

Arsenal aren't going to have a much better chance at a Champions League final having drawn Bayern.

It's a shame Bayern are probably still safe for CL spot, because them dropping out of that would have been hilarious. Still Stuttgart (finished near relegation last season) could move within a point of them.

Hardly, Leverkusen in all competitions, have scored an injury time winner over 10 times, I've never known any team, in any league, have that much luck.
