cheslea cannot simply keep repeating the same errors.

sack poch and they go back to square 1 with the same failed players.

those players need a lot of work and consistency. really only 1 striker needed and to develop some back bone and leaders.

It’s a shame 5th probably gets a CL spot. This race between Villa and Spurs is twisting and turning a bit

5th likely being a CL place takes some of the pressure off, particularly with United's inconsistent form.

Hopefully we win tomorrow. Think we're just about favourites for 4th at the moment.

United maximum points total is 72. Villa and/or Spurs would have to really make a hash of things to drop to 6th.

I rule out nothing when Unai Emery and a deep European run is there.

Thing is, United aren’t good enough to get the wins they need.

Yeah no way United are hitting 72. 68 should be enough this season, maybe lower.

    yup too honest.

villa have put themselves in ffp range of trouble to assemble what they have now.

they've put in emry to take then further.

so whatever Watkins issue is it can't be with spend or the manager unless he is thick.

Eh? Did you read it? Hes on about the team failing to control and see out the game when they were comfortably ahead, Emery even doubled down on it.

Watkins is right. When Arsenal were 2-0 up yesterday they were defending for their lives whereas our players were swanning about like they had already won.

What is really costing us is the loss of Kamara as he is the only specialist holding midfielder in the squad (aside from Iroegbunam who is still learning his trade) and our defence has been one of the worst in the league since he got injured (1.3 goals conceded per game with him, 2.1 per game without). Emery needs to make a tactical tweak as we are giving up too many easy chances.

I think comparing to Arsenal is a bit silly though. One is a title contender, who are also in their 4th full season with the same manager/project. Villa have only been managed by Emery for approaching 18 months now.

It's good to have those ambitions but any side that is that early in a project, and were genuine relegation candidates not too long ago, will have days like this. It's new ground for them. Arsenal collapsed in the final run-in the past two seasons.

Fair play to Watkins, no issue with it, kompany and KDB called out City mentality when we kept getting beat in CL at QF stage.

Yeah, been saying this for weeks, they have a huge GD advantage, worth a point in a close run in like this. Game v Sheffield United the other day was a missed opportunity, should have really gone for a big win.

city will overtake our gd as well.

it's Arsenal's to lose now and city will win all their games.

Famous last words but after their match with Palace, I can't see Liverpool beating any of their remaining teams by 3/4 goals. They'll win said games thought and that's what ultimately matters.

You can't go into games thinking right we need to win by x amount of goals today. That mentality isn't smart imo. Play the games in front of you and go from there. Thing is with Liverpool, they don't need to throw caution to the wind and go uber attacking because they create so many chances anyway. Just keep going and take the chances they do make.

It's very very easy to sit here and allocate 3 points to each team from their fixtures but you just don't know what will happen. Who thought Bruno Fernandes would score from 50 yards today? Who thought Ramsdale would give the ball away after 10 seconds last season?

Too much weird shit happens. Just win your matches and go from there.

we won't beat anyone by a lot of goals.

we cannot win consistently against anyone in the top half so right now we've burned our our one shot at a bad result before the others and are no longer favourites.
    over to you now.
