I had Horse burger in Hamburg in 2002, we had a Friendly as Keegan was our manager, unbelievable ground that was.
But that Liverpool side is far superior to this Arsenal side too! I'm not sure how the second leg plays out. I was surprised to see that we had 60% of the ball last night, felt a lot closer to 50/50. Over there, I think we'll see a performance similar to City away a few weeks ago. But I'm hoping that Bayern won't have the same ability that City have to keep us penned in for so long. No Davies and Gnabry next week is key as well. I found myself getting frustrated at us spamming Saka's side.....he's not beating Davies and he certainly isn't when Gnabry was working hard to double up on him. Last night, Bayern's biggest weapon was the raw pace of Sane. We do not have that in our squad, the closest thing we have is Martinelli. We have to utilise him more next week.
I don't know about far superior. They were a better team, for sure. But that Liverpool side finished 4th the season prior with 75 points. Finished 2018-19 on 97 points of course. This Arsenal side are in their 4th full season under the same manager, they finished 2nd on 84 points last season, and are tracking an 87 points season this time round. They've proven their credentials now. i guess what I am saying is, the difference between Bayern 2018-19 and Bayern 2023-24 is a greater chasm than Liverpool 2018-19 and Arsenal 2023-24 imo.
