Great to see a new(ish) team in the Prem. Well done Ipswich!

Hope Southampton join you from a selfish point of view.

Good win for us, the better side and the Ipswich 2nd goal killed Leeds in that 2nd half and we easily managed the game. Few of their players seemed to lose their heads with some late tackles.

Congrats to Ipswich, McKenna has done a great job. Hope the Ipswich lads on here have a decent night and hopefully see you next season...

Well our record against the other play-off teams this season isn't too bad. Double over Leeds, double over West Brom and two draws against Norwich. Four wins, two draws, no defeats. Lets not bottle it in the play offs.

Another disgraceful performance from Preston today, West Brom wont have had 2 easier games all season that the 2 against us, i cant see it happening, but hopefully Lowe will walk away now and we'll go into next season with a fresh start, otherwiase we'll be in a relegation battle next year with this man in charge

It'll go under the radar, but that's five wins in a row to end the season, with only one goal conceded in that time.

Nobody in the away end at Huddersfield a month ago would've guessed we'd end up three points off of the top half. All credit to Harris and the players, well pleased.

Golden boot isn't done yet, Adam Armstrong has potentially 3 games to get 7 goals ;)

Cheers mate. I really hope you go up via the play offs, then we'll meet again in 2025. Good night.

You were extremely unlucky to lose to us at St. Mary's in the league. I hope we don't go into it with an arrogance.

What a crazy final day! Who would have expected Birmingham to win only to see Blackburn win at Leicester, Plymouth beat Hull and them go down anyway. It'll be raw now, but I think in the long run, this will be good for Blues. It's been far too many seasons of fighting this shit off, losing more than they win in a season and just basically having little hope each weekend. Hopefully the drop down will bring with it an opportunity to get that feeling of what its like to win football matches regularly again!

At the other end, what an amazing story for Ipswich - granted it just means they end up in the Premier League but they can certainly enjoy what has been a fairy-tale season for them!

Playoffs are going to be quite the battle between some real heavyweights - not sure we have had 4 teams of such size in the playoffs for quite a while!

It wouldn't have mattered at the end but what a disappointing performance that was given the potential stakes. Another game where we struggle against an organised team and effectively do nothing in the final third.

The story of our season. Some matches we really should have gotten a win or at least not have lost, but did. Norwich's shithouse win against us ended up being costly, but we had other games of poor performance. That's just being a Championship quality side in the Championship, though.

Overall a good season that ends with a whimper of a match. Some good signs of progression marred by mistakes or fine margins. Logically this side is probably a year too early to get promoted. Our summer will be busy regardless of the division that we are in, but it is easier with PL money flow...but we do avoid getting smashed every week at least.

But fair play to Plymouth. They out fought us and won the key battles. They wanted it more. See you next season.

And a big congratulations to Ipswich. It required a special season to challenge the parachutes, and a 96 point season was just that. Everyone expected you to drop off and you never did. Sensational, really.

Can only see Leeeds or Southampton winning the play offs. The gulf between the top 4 and the rest is large.

That would be ideal, as that's one less parachute club to contend with, and both Norwich and WBA could end up weaker next season. So I suppose I want Southampton to win...but not particularly bothered by who wins these play-offs. Compared to last season's class selection, this one is rather dull as a neutral.

Well done to Ipswich, great achievement!

My nerves are shot, with everyone winning and us at 0-0 all the nightmare scenarios were starting to come into play but 2 great breakaway goals by that man Szmodics yet again saved the day. To even have got ourselves into this position is ridiculous but a big sigh of relief. The club now needs to have a big review of everything, they have to invest something in that squad now, can't be losing another top scorer and hoping someone steps up again otherwise we'll be here again. The owners won't sell unless, quote, we are in the Premier League, well that isn't going to happen with the way business and off field issues were conducted this season and it's a very tough ask in any case with FFP and our income levels.

A sigh of relief for me and muted celebrations.

Congrats to Sheffield Weds and Plymouth, went out and got what they needed too. As for Birmingham, I do feel for you, going down on 50 points is hard to take and a thought in all of this for Mowbray who I sincerely hope is doing well, if he returns, he will galvanize you and get you back up, that season with us in L1 was the best season we've had in the last 14 years in terms of feeling connected to the club.

Note on the Golden Boot award, playoffs don't count apparently and Sammie got given it at the match today - wherever he is next season, he goes with the full blessings of all Rovers fans and will go down as a club legend.

Seems mental that a midfielder for the club who finished 19th has won the golden boot. Astonishing season for him personally when you’ve got the likes of Ipswich, Leeds and Leicester all scoring over 87 goals

well we really weren't at it but still forced a couple of key saves from the Blackburn keeper, Szmodics took his first very well, but should have never got that far really bodied Vestergaard too easily.

They deserved it, so did the Birmingham owners...

Birmingham are going to hate us, we seem to lose against all their relegation rivals. Sorry to see them go but in the long term it might be what they require.
