I think, at least for me, it’s because after any bad patch Klopp always comes out with deflections / complaints, etc. That’s good management to a certain degree, keep the heat off the team, but it can be very irksome.

He’s a great character when things are going well at Liverpool, but when they aren’t it’s everyone else’s fault.

That’s just how I see it.

No doubt Klopp is a sore loser but he's been moaning about the kick off times, and specifically the lop sided amount we've gotten over the last few years all season. Even when we were top of the table.

If someone like Dyche came out and said the same thing, there'd be zero push back.

To be fair every manager will complain about how many games their team plays especially when they play in Uefa competitions as well.

Fergie and Wenger always played the siege mentality card that the whole world was against them.

Huh? Here's gone on about fixture congestion and players playing too much constantly since he's been here, he's spot on too. Its not that players play too much domestically, its there are far too many shitty international breaks, said it time and time again, we get a dozen or so breaks in the season now so England can play San Marino, Brazil play The Bahamas or Italy play Andorra and the likes...

Then on top of this we have Sky/TNT throwing out unsuitable kick off times.

In the 1983-84 season Liverpool played 67 times.

4 players played in all 67 with another 4 taking part in over 60.

They didn't do rotation like we see now and they were only allowed 1 sub back then.

Of course fitness levels are on another level now but then again the game wasn't as quick or frenetic as it was back in the day.

Has always been an issue too many games but that is the price you pay for being successful.

Clubs will never vote for a ban on early kickoffs as they will not kill the goose that lays the golden egg.

BUT..back then mate you'd have about 2 or 3 (if that) International breaks during the season, these days you get baout 10-12...with players travelling around the globe constantly, half the time to play shitty friendlies.

Thats what causes players exhaustion these days, imo.

There was 4 international breaks in this season just gone plus a tournament in Africa and Asia.

Gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you meant 10-12 matches because the claim of 10-12 breaks is really OTT.

Whether we like it or not, the ship has very much sailed in terms of kick-off times and it won't be coming back into harbour any time soon. Certainly the issue is going to become bigger in the EFL with the new deal starting next season and, with back to back kick-offs now the norm in UEFA competitions, I suspect it's only a matter of time before we see them here too. Managers can complain about it all they like, but they'd complain a damn sight more if there was suddenly less money swirling around.

I'll bet anything the next deal will see through 12:30 being forced to be spread put more with less for each club

But let's see cos it's as much about sky having dominance and tnt only getting tjst one slot as sky doesn't want it.

The league sets the KO times - if the clubs really hated it the KO times would change. They clearly don’t enough.

The clubs and the league in general are slaves to the TV companies and it's particularly the Asian Market that pumps billions into the Premier League.

At the end of the day if fans want the big signings or players and managers want the big money and exposure that the Premier League brings, then they have to accept it's essentially a global product and all those stakeholders have to be appeased.
