Ya it was great last ditch defending inside the box. Outside the box raising a foot near someone's head who is about to head it and its a free and you know that
A win in a game that means Jack shit, but a shame we went Liverpoolesque in the last 20. It would have been nice to be reminded what it was like to win convincingly and with a clean sheet but that shit doesn't happen any more. Still, at least we didn't concede first
Entertaining game. Disappointed with our second half performance though tbh. Thought we lost control of the game when Endo went off.
Happy with that nice to get Bajcetic back on the pitch. Harvey Elliott motm closely followed by Quansah.
Are Spurs fans happy with Ange? He seems to think he knows more about this management lark than he actually does. After watching him this campaign, I predict you won't be any less trophy shy in the coming seasons if you stick with him. He doesn't cut it when things aren't going well.
Thanks Liverpool , I think 1 point from our last two games should see us in the Champions League ,but never under estimate Villa's capacity to screw it up.
I don't know. It's one of those where you want to praise the defender as he's clearly got the ball but by the letter of the law and for consistency it should probably be a foul? Like I say, I'm happy with it not being given but like you say there, it's a free kick outside the box pretty much every time!
Happy that it's Ange's first season. Time will tell whether he's a success or not but football doesn't have the patience for that. I'm sure some of our fans would happily see him go and see us in the same position in 12 months time. We should have been flawless this season.
Real test for Spurs is having to juggle European football, not getting dumped early out the cups, and a league campaign. They've only had a league campaign this season, and we are in May and they're losing 4 games on the bounce. That's quite alarming.
I'll ignore the last sentence as it's a bit silly. Taken at face value the season hasn't been a disaster, you're likely to miss out on CL by the results of only a game or two being different. But they're the small margins at this level and whilst this is his first season, his inate limitations seem clear to me, and I'm not sure they're something he'll be able to shake. You previously compared him to Klopp and his opening season or two being less than stellar. But for me there is a big difference. Klopp clearly had a plan from day one, and had history to show he had what it took to be successful in the long term in a difficult league. I understand you want to give Ange time given that it's his first campaign, but ultimately I think he'll fall short of bringing you silverware or even repeating what Poch did.
Spurs aren’t likely to to be top 3 anytime soon but guess 4th was the target ? Mind you is changing manager going to improve much - maybe tactically better defensively.
Good win, looked really good for 60 mins then took foot off the gas and let Spurs back into the game. Lovely strike by Elliott and his performance compounded the fact that that's his position, right midfield rather than right wing/Salah replacement.
