Just awful. So slow and boring with some very poor passing from ourselves.

We definitely need an attacking midfielder to replace McDonald, that much is obvious. Lyle Taylor isn't a lone front man and can't hold a ball up to save his life either. It was like watching a ball being kicked against a wall.

When Weir was appointed he mentioned attacking football and entertaining the fans. If that involves not leaving one player forward when defending a corner at home to Colchester with the score at 1-1, then f*** me.

    What a complete shambles.

Can we just end the season now please? Can't take much more of this.

You think its shit now, wait till you meet the Gillinham away stand,or Oriant where the seats collapse during goal celebration.
Least at Collywho and clubs like it its easy to get seats in the home end if all away seats are sold out.
As we well know punching below yoiur weight and being the big fish in a small pond is never fun

Well most of you lot are, that's for sure. Where do you think most of your 30,000 that turned out at Wembley came from?

We're 3 games in to the season, and with a distinctly average squad Weir is trying to change us for the better. It's going to be frustrating at times like it was today, but we need to be patient.

Even with McDonald here, we had barely any creativity. We HAVE to bring a player in who can create something for Brandy, Murphy, Taylor etc. if we're to be up near the top 6 at the end of the season. I agree with Martinho about Taylor, not impressed with him at all.

I saw a lot of Taylor at Falkirk and thought he was crap. I thought Ironside looked a much better prospect from the little I saw of him last season.

I think Ironside needs a loan move to get a few more first team games under his belt and build his confidence. He's a good supporting striker but he's not an out and out goalscorer.

But you're supposed to be a loyal supporter, support your local club and all that.
You prefer to be a Mockney rather than support your other local club..Ipswich:laugh:

I do on average about 25-30 Colchester games a season, and both the old and new grounds are within walking distance of my house, is that being loyal to your local club enough for you?

But yeah, I do also do a fair few neutral/semi-neutral games every year, at West Ham, Ipswich and wherever else I get given tickets to or takes my fancy. I don't think that's a bad effort. :duke

On the subject of the game, I'll take that point all day long, solid result for us, regardless of how bad a Sheffield United team this apparently is.

Decent point for colchester, people were saying how bad they are at the start of the season but they seem to have made a decent start

Agree with everything you've said Daz. Some of our fans around me make me laugh, moaned when we hoofed it last season and moaned yesterday about passing it around. We are crying out for a replacement for Macca though, sooner the better.

If you find any posts from me pre season you'll see i told people they are daft for thinking we'll be as bad as we was last season.
Dunne's got us tight at the back, Despite yesterdays mistake, Walker is a decent keeper, Sanchez Watt and Craig Eastmond IMO would get in any league 1 side, We have a couple of decent young fellas who keep getting better and better. Dont get me wrong, Im not thinking about the play offs, But we'll be back to being a boring midtable league 1 side.
