That you’re reading too much into what is being said in the song, when one of lines didn’t happen at all.
What line? The Kompany injured Salah line? It did, obviously replacing Ramos injured Salah in NJ's version. Or are you saying the City players sang the Ramos version of it? Even worse to be honest, professional players singing about fellow playes being injured. As I said, fans singing that song no one gives a shit, for the players to sing it is pretty damn classless.
Semantics aside, any way you slice it the City players have massively let themselves down with this. City's Bernardo Silva song was altered to include a disgusting line about Bobby Charlton being a nonce. but every fan base has this element. This is different as it's the players.
Now I've seen the lyrics of the original song thats probably the case. But still, a pretty classless song for proffessional footballers to be singing. Fellow players being injured, fans being battered, victims, etc...pure gobshites the lot of them The CL we knocked you out of was that?
Even though on Twitter we changed to "were all going on the piss" then nobheads changed it again, Even Silva asked for it be changed back. due to title race weve actually heard hardly any Anti united songs apart from pre Derby and the Derby days this season
I like the first two Oasis albums but they always thought they were the 90s equivalent of the Beatles (not quite, lads). They could always opt for the Stone Roses but, ya know...
**** me the red scouse are taking finishing 2nd badly getting all mardy about a chant that the players copied off the fans (and isn't all that derogatory really until they try and read more into it than there is) perhaps they should get back to pelting buses with bottles or trying to kill Bulgarian barmen!
I wouldn't bat an eyelid at the fans singing that, none of us would really, but for Man City players and staff to celebrate a well earned league title by chanting about Liverpool fans getting battered (one of their own was nearly beaten to death in Schalke recently ffs) and the fans being 'victims' (that old chestnut) and a Liverpool player getting taken out and injured (fellow professionals chanting it) I find absolutely bizarre to be honest. Sing about your own team. The club's reaction a bit weird as well to point out that it's not about Cox, well that's okay for then for footballers to sing about other innocent fans getting battered by thugs and Salah getting assaulted and injured. The group of fans who targeted the City coach last year were a disgrace to the football club but at least the club and Klopp had the grace to unreservedly and swiftly apologise. City fans can fill their boots but a bunch of dickhead millionaires can f*ck right off chanting about normal fans getting beat up after paying thousands to go to Kiev. Especially after their fake praise on Sunday. At least on the plane they've shown how they really feel.
Assaulted? As for the rest? Who gives a shit? It's a song. Unless they release it as a single why let it bother you?
