So after @scunnymadandy ran a similar poll last season I thought I’d do one for this season as for some reason scunnymadandy doesn’t seem as keen to do one for this season.

8 options up to and including the teams on 40 points and you can have 2 picks.

here is the bottom of League 2 for anybody who’s unsure.

    Have fun. :bye

Fair to say ourselves and Scunthorpe have gone in slightly different directions after both being relegated in the same game on the final day of 18/19

Scunthorpe and Oldham are the two I want. Two basket case clubs that won't threaten for a while if they come down. Stevenage, Barrow and Orient know how to get out that division with the former two each having a very strong non-league fabric. Orient top tier away day though to be fair.

Scunny & Oldham would be back in the FL league quicker than Stevenage though, I can't see Stevenage getting back for a minimum of 10 years. It wouldn't even surprise me if they got close to back to back relegations

Why what's going on at Stevenage? As far as I'm aware the other two are in way worse shape. Stevenage are also in a much better place location wise for recruitment at that level. Admittedly, they've got Southend as competition if they come down but there's a wealth of talent to be had in and around the London and South East non-league divisions if you can set up a decent scouting network. I don't think you can underestimate the value of having a bit of non-league culture in your club when you drop down to that level. Just having an idea of what it's like down there is an advantage that Stevenage and Barrow would have over Scunny and Oldham. There's no way Scunny or Oldham will bounce back quickly if they go down without changes in ownership. Ourselves and Southend have been fortunate this season in that we've both had radical changes in our off the pitch setups. The only teams in recent times that I remember going down in such a poor state as Scunny are in right now have been Macclesfield (the second time), Darlo and Stockport. Two of them ceased to exist and one had to go down to the Conference North.

They've been dire for ages, they should've been relegated last season IIRC. They're a small club with a much smaller fan base. At least with Scunny & Oldham there's potential to build back and get a good team together in the future whether it's 5 years or 10 years down the line, Stevenage just don't have that level of support or potential

I think you're on about the season before, last season they weren't as bad as they usually are. Managed to finish midtable. The season before though, they finished 23rd and were handed a reprieve, is that what you mean? I don't like them as a club either, so I'm with you on that. I just think they'd be more suited to tier 5 than Scunny or Oldham. In their defence as well, they're currently averaging more than Scunny at home this season.

You mean to say they were doing even worse than that table posted last Tuesday suggests. Christ, would've had them in top 7 at start of this season.

Be nice to have Colchester down and dare I say it even better to see Evans relegated with Stevenage. However I think Colchester have probably pulled clear enough already and you just know Evans will keep Stevenage up.

Scunny look doomed and I fear Oldham will join them. As has been said above by SoC they'd be the picks for anybody who wants to challenge at the top end of the National League next season, look to be the two in the biggest messes. Oldham are up for sale though aren't they? If they got decent new owners they could be challengers should they be relegated.

I posted this on the promotion thread, but it also does give info and stats/likelihood of the relegation battle as well. It lists Scunthorpe as 99% relegated, and Oldham are over 60% again.

I think if Oldham come down they will do a bit of a Southend, completely underestimate the league and start off terribly before getting rid of whoever’s in charge and sorting themselves out, ready for a crack at it the second season.
