King’s Lynn still have to play Dover and then their final three games are against nothing to play for fodder of Eastleigh, Woking and Wealdstone.

It’s not beyond the realms of possibility.

Having said that they lost their main striker to injury tonight.

Rowe is done, I honestly don’t understand what’s taking so long for an announcement. He hasn’t played due to this heart condition since we beat Boreham Wood at home on 23rd October and it has been completely silent. He’s also the highest earner at the club so just an extra kick in the teeth there with him not being able to play.

Tshimanga you’re absolutely right, who knows, someone may come in for him in the summer after the season he’s had here. I’d be surprised though, I’m sure clubs would want to see how he comes back from his injury first..

After with his injury you'd imagine, was rather nasty.

Wasn’t there talk of him making the playoffs in an absolute best case scenario?

Guessing at worst case scenario that would still see him back before the season started.

The thing with an injury like that is even if he comes back at the end of this season, he’s need a good few games to get back going again and get up to speed. There won’t be enough time for that to realistically happen

This is why we desperately need to go out and sign a striker before Thursdays deadline. I’d be looking at Josh Kelly at Maidenhead

I sit close to the backroom staff at York Road and did not hear any suggestion tonight that he is off before the summer.

I'd agree that he would be an excellent signing for you though and with safety pretty much secure it makes sense to let him go now for a bigger fee than in the summer.

To be honest we were so abysmal in the first half that I think if we’d been playing against your lot we’d have only put 2 or 3 past you.

You should really be rooting for us to go up to save you the embarrassment of the pounding you’ll get off us next season.

I'll give Halifax something from tonight, their fans didn't stop singing all game. Top bunch, and I hope their numbers increase in future.

Absolutely shocking performance tonight, Maidenhead were shit, we were utter, utter shit. First half was the worst half of football I've witnessed all season and I've been to step 11 games!
We just didn't look bothered, no intent, nothing going forward, one decent cross, one decent header from Dennis, one decent save, that was our first half.
2nd half was much the same, other than Clifford scores a wonder strike when it looked for all the world the two teams had got together to pool some money on a 0-0.
Much bleating at and about the ref, but for me he was actually okay, he got one decision wrong. First freekick he gave for the Maidenhead goal was a freekick, nothing wrong with the decision, good ball in but it should have been defended better, 1-1.
The second freekick, never, the ref is the only person there who thinks it's a foul. But the goal didn't directly come from that freekick and when the ball was eventually put in we've defended it like a bunch of schoolkids. Maher has got away with it a bit having the poor freekick decision from the ref, it seems to have deflected from what was an utterly abject performance and set up, nobody comes out of that with any credit.
Also hope we appeal James Dunne's red, so it can be rejected and have some extra games added to it, he's a fraud of a footballer, one I hope to never see in a Southend shirt ever again.

Neither team deserved to win it, in fact they both deserve to have points deducted for the dross served up. I'd even go as far to say that was the worst performance I've seen from Southend all season, I thought the nadir had come at Solihull but tonight was a festering turd of a performance, so bad I need a shower to wash the stench off I've acquired from viewing it.

Still on 2 points a game, take 3 more on Saturday and we'll be left with 4 away games and 6 at home. We're going up.

Better side first half when ALL the game was down the Wrexham end. Take away the penalty and the goal we gifted them and Wrexham weren't all that. That backing from the fans is worth a point a game for them as no ref is going to want to get on the wrong side of them. Absolute disgrace the numbers we took tonight, but when w*****s like Shayshite can get away with presenting themselves as top fans that's about all we can expect.:smackhead

Those are the REAL fans, not the 2 clowns on here who you won't see again now until we've won again. BTW do the cops know about the university's car parking scam where they take your money and hand you a ticket when the car park is already full to overflowing?

To be honest we don't deserve to stay up on 31 points so if one of Kings Lynn or Weymouth do find 3 wins i'll have no complaints with relegation

We will finish 5/6/7th. No chance of Top 3. That’s not me being negative I’m just being realistic. Since cook has arrived we’ve averaged 1.33 PPG. That’s shocking form. Yes we’ve had injuries but it’s been obvious we’ve needed to strengthen. Dreading Notts County on Saturday.

    We will get battered.

I think this is the main annoying thing at the moment for me, about signings. Cooks suddenly making noises about new players and there's rumours of comings in. Like it's new news we need players? It's been obvious to anyone with eyes we need to strengthen, why wait till we're mid table in the form league and the deadline is looming? We need goals from midfield and we just let Holohan swan off to Grimsby? If he was available, why didn't we try for him? Frustrating AF

I take it you didn't enjoy the game.
Agreed....both teams were crap, bit I have seen a lot worse from Maidenhead.
Not sure that's a good conclusion.

I’m fast falling out of love with supporting the club at the minute, the predictability of it all is ****ing draining.

    Hurst will never learn, ever
