Maple syrup and crispy bacon. I found out years too late that my mom used to make them too thin and overdid it with the squeezy lemon. Makes me shudder thinking about it..
2 course pancake day dinner is a thing from my childhood - you had to have one savoury and one sweet so I recreate my childhood each year (although mine is a bit 'pimped' on what mum used to serve) .... - Savoury - Cheese sauce with onion pieces in it and crispy pancetta pieces sprinkled on top - Sweet - Salted butter with lemon juice and sugar
I've never even thought about a pancake fir savoury. I can't say I'm in the slightest bit tempted by it though.
I think it was mum thinking she was saving us from more sugar - apparently the metric tonne of cheese and butter didn't hurt at all though
Lemon and sugar is the go-to, but to be fair I like pretty much all of the usual options you see - Nutella, marshmallows, fruit & cream, peanut butter, syrup, the list could go on. Whatever it is I'm game, I bloody love a pancake.
C'mon lad ,kids cant even sketch one from memory these days ,they just know the f*ckerz were yellow . #Brexit
