Nice to know I'm not the only one with tons of free time Assumed that every team would play at their best and no shocks would happen (because if I assumed shocks would happen then which shocks?) so point tallies are going to be more extreme than they actually are Look away Forest fans Also Bournemouth lol
lol aren’t bmouth already on 21 points? I hope for the sanity of their fans on here that they don’t go on a 14 game losing streak. There’s a Damn good chance they pick up a point it 3 when we visit
Yeah I know thats the problem with predictions like this it will be too extreme if you go match by match
You didn't read the fact that I said point tallies would be extreme and inaccurate? Ignore them just look at the positions
The problem with predictors, people tend to get sticky results like predicting the bottom team will lose every game for rest of season, or if they think a team has been over achieving making them lose every game as well etc. Likewise top of table people tend to predict the top teams win every game.
To be fair I got bored and did a predictor and had Bournemouth bottom, us second bottom and forest third bottom. With the fixtures left I think it’s the most likely scenario Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
yeah, predictors cannot factor in fight and heart that sometimes people who have not got skin in the game see. What I can see from the outside is that unlike some years not one side has given up. You are all putting the fight in. Anything could happen yet, nobody from palace down is safe at all.
This one should be interesting. There really isn't loads of sides who lose games week in week out apart from Bournemouth (who seem to have turned a corner since buying Lorient's best players - Lorient's form has since dipped thanks a lot Cherries!) with 1 win in 10. You could argue Everton are in this bracket but they seem to get the odd point plus they have an experienced manager who is proven in the survival business. Southampton also did the right decision in sacking Ralph and the win vs Leicester was spirited. Who will go down? Not even sure who is safe. Are Palace and Wolves safe? You could argue 6 points is a nice buffer zone but then again, with most sides taking points most weekends, maybe not. Should be a good fight.
Us and Palace definitely aren't safe. Palace haven't won a game since December and have 3 really tough games up next, we have been in good form since the world cup break but only takes a couple of weeks to be right back in the thick of it. We are looking loads better under Lopetegui but still not many goals in us.
I done one of those table prediction things and have us just staying up on 36 points in 17th place one point ahead of West Ham. Bournemouth and Southampton were in bottom two with about 33/34ish points. I tried to be realistic with predictions as everyone's really fighting for their lives, would definitely take that outcome if offered.
We only signed one player from Lorient! Also, we have not really turned a corner, we're just losing by fewer goals! Did beat Wolves though. One win since the WC.
Yeah decent and improved us, without blowing us away just yet. A little in and out of games, but popping up with 3 assists in about 6 games is a good start! A goal will really help settle him. One game our attack works but our defence doesn't, the next game our defence is solid but the attack doesn't show up. If we could string it all together at any point we'd be competitive!
Any word on how Awoniyi's recovery is progressing? Was pleased to see he'd made himself such a strong option for you.
