We’re not a Belt and Aldershot aren’t either.

I'd only count Southend, Oldham and Rochdale out of that list

York haven't been a consistent league side for about 20 years, they had a saunter back up but i'd class them as non-league

EDIT: Forgot Hartlepool, they are too

Forgot about Pools, but Dale might as well be non-league.

It’s simple, we just have to consult the Natural Order, which also includes a pair of BROTHERS languishing in both regional leagues

Thought this for a while now the momentum w
You get for finishing 4th-7th and winning the extra game is more beneficial than the extra weeks rest.

Fairly sure they hold the record for the most years in League 2, they're as FL as they come

If we're talking about historic FL sides who shouldn't be rattling around non league then I would say

    Oldham
    Southend
    Hartlepool
    Rochdale
    York
    Scunthorpe
    Torquay

As a fan of a step 6 side who briefly had two spells in the National League, these would be the sides who we'd have seen the biggest home attendances for (admittedly a decent chunk would have been away fans).

One of Solihull, Bromley, or Altrincham will be a Football League club. Now that's strange...

Altrincham aren't plastic and have some history, and would have made the Football League on merit in the past. Going to go with them...

Cheers. Scunny fans were top notch today. Good atmosphere, and those I spoke with on the way home took the defeat with dignity.

Agreed on 0-0 being fair. A couple of goal line clearances & penalty shouts but not a whole lot for the keepers to do. We looked knackered in the second half of extra time and were clinging on for penalties. Not sure how we've suddenly become maestros at shoot-outs but obviously I'm not complaining.
Scoring goals is so overrated. :)

Winning a penalty shootout is a given with Ross "polo hands" Fitzsimons in goal for the opposition.

As much I would like Alty to go up as a traditional non leaguer, it’s a nice trip. Bromley or Solihull would remove a team that we do badly against, and play dour attritional football.

Would anyone actually miss a trip to Solihull?

Kind of want to see Solihull make it up just to give the L2 clubs a whiff of Damson Park.

With their problems with their ground and LRJ, how have they got into the play offs.

also, Chelmsford have only won 2 out of 17 play off games and never gone up from them. Barnet, I think, have lost 7 semis on the spin.

    who has a worse record?
