Not anywhere near as much as Messi.

They're dying for Messi to win it. Flipping heck, our own pundits sounded like they wanted him to win it more than England.

Not even close. Read my posts about Ronaldo over the last 2 years. Glad he's not winning it either.

Great game. I was in Lille on the day too so a great atmosphere in the city throughout the day. A repeat would be very nice.

My post was just a joke and referring to Lloris and Romero anyway - the two Spurs players on show

There'll be plenty of chat around Mbappe too though, just as there was ahead of the semi final. It's the Messi v Mbappe final in the eyes of the media. One has the chance to win it in his final World Cup, the other will potentially have won two World Cups at the age of 23 so I doubt they're going to be quiet on Mbappe come the weekend.

I’d rather neither were in the final but I’ll definitely end up supporting the french. Argentina have always been dirty, win at all cost cheats. The qf against the Dutch just reminded me that nothing has really changed.
I think the french will take the lead and Argentina will see a red card before the final whistle.

Two of the teams I was looking for to win going head to head for the glory (something England know nothing about but which the broadcasters will speak about incessantly). The romantic story is for Argentina and Messi to claim it and unlike in 2014 the players around him have some spirit; however I think France overall will be too strong and win their third World Cup.

Regardless of the result one of United's centre halves will be striding into the dressing room like Billy Big Bollocks next weekend!

And of course everyone else doesn't roll around like they have been shot by a sniper from 300 yards when they get a slight touch or surround the ref when he doesn't give a free kick. Only Argentina that plays sneaky apparently.

They're as bad as each other - the final will have more dives than Tom Daley at the olympics and more theatrics and play acting than Sid James in a brothel - horrible scrotes deserve each other :shrug

I hope Argentina shithouse the hell out of it. The game against the Netherlands was brilliant despite Jonathan Pearce repeatedly saying they'd ruined it. I love all that (when it's not against my team).

Seven goals and five red cards please :party

I've got Argentina in the work sweepstake, so while I'd rather neither team win it I do at least get some consolation if it's Argentina.

Also, I really want to punch Mbappe's smug face.

In a win win situation. I drew Argentina and Qatar and guaranteed 20 quid for appearing in the final, get another 30 if they win. Anyway put a tenner on France this morning to lift the trophy. If France do win i get 25 notes plus the 20 from the sweepstake. Argentina win and get 50 notes. Jammy git i am as the last World Cup i had France.

Would like Argentina to win so can hear Piers Knobhead Morgan cry for his bezzy mate Ronnie

That's enough reason to root for Argentina in my opinion.

I had Argentina in a sweepstakes, but one of my best mates had France. Split the pot £125 each so feeling smug if France win would be nice.

However I still want Argentina to win for Mac Allister. He’s been sublime for us for a while now and seeing him pick up a World Cup winners medal would be surreal but fully deserved.

Another who would prefer neither to win it, but of the two I dislike France the least.

Far rather France win tbh, but don't like either of em. Doubt I'll bother watching it.

I'm not really arsed, but if pushed I favour France as I prefer a winner from continental Europe rather than South America. :shrug

I don't normally have a problem with France but as they beat us it's very hard to root for them . Putting bitterness aside though I think I have to side with France when the opposition is Argentina.
