Costa Rica international Jose Miguel Cubero appears to have signed subject to a medical tomorrow according to local media, plus Rigas agent has posted a photo of Cubero and Riga shaking hands.

He came on as a sub in 4 (Uruguay, Italy, Greece and Netherlands) of their World Cup games in Brazil

Local reporter did tweet about an hour ago that there were 3 players at the ground.

Ben Williams is a decent signing. Good shot stopper.

Following Valeri Belokon's recent intervention to write a public letter to ask that the final parachute payment be solely used for football purposes, Karl Oyston today announced that he is seeking to remove Belokon from the board.

This is true btw. I'm not making it up. The very suggestion of using football club money in a transparent way for the benefit of the football club produces this sort of response.

    Fit and proper?

Phew, panic over. Thank God for that.

"By the time the window closes we will have as many players as everyone else. The Premier League sides will offload their flotsam and jetsam and there will be a few youngsters." - Karl Oyston.

..Watch out championship, don't you all wish you could have a chairman this inspiring.

Suprised you didn't go back for Crainey. He was great for us towards the end of the season. Just signed for Fleetwood today.

    Fit and proper my arse.

Have you got a supporters trust or anything? can't anything be done ie boycotting games/club shop(s) and hitting them in the pocket?

Look at Coventry downstairs, barely 1,000 fans at home games and taking 3,500 to ourselves, 7k to MK Dons etc.

Great player for us, but we can't compete with Fleetwood. That's not a joke.

That being said, we've apparently agreed a deal for Orlandi - former Brighton player. Who it seems when he's not injured is a decent championship standard player. No idea what he's thinking, i'd suspect his grasp of English isn't the best and he thinks he's signing for an actual football club.

Blackpool today signed Donervon Daniels on a 28 day loan from WBA. Very good move for him IMO, hopefully will get a few games, first move for him to the Champ, been on loan at Tranmere & Gillingham in recent seasons. Been highly rated for a few seasons now but hasn't made the break through so think this season is make or break for him.

    20 year old CB.

Don't see the point in 28 day loans tbh. Either make it til January, or til the end of the season.

It will be just to see us through until the flotsam and jetsam arrive.

Supporters trust: one founded this close season, attacked by Oyston in his recent 8 page diatribe against Belokon.

Boycott: today certainly, less then 500 tickets sold apparently.

Signings: despite being touted as the clubs highest paid player, Ishmail Miller refused to sign a contract and walked away this week. Angel Martinez, decent player who's contract ran out but actually wanted to stay, was offered a new contract with a 60% wage reduction. Unsurprisingly, he told Oyston to **** off.

Friendly game today: no goalkeeper so either 15yo youth lad or trialist to start. 6 trialists expected in the starting 11.

Orlandi is a decent enough player, but he's not who I'd want in my team for a relegation battle. If you get the ball on the floor and he gets a yard of space he'll play some lovely stuff and will become an instant fan favourite. However if you're playing long balls and need muscle in midfield then he'll be worse than useless.

Herd you're trying to sign Kuszczak too, which would be a very good signing for you

Orlando have been playing in the football league for 7 years so his English will be good along with his understanding of clubs in the football league on that basis I cannot see him signing for Blackpool as he will have other offers

Well Orlandi has had a medical and is currently playing in our friendly against Burnley.

TEAM: Trialist (Elliot Parish?) , McMahon, Trialist (Joel Dielna?), Perkins, Clarke, Daniels, Zenjov, Mellis, Delfouneso, Orlandi, Cywka.

SUBS: Dunne, Waddington, Telford, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist.

Appearently two of the sub Trialists could be Darren Ambrose and Joe Ralls

So you will have a team for the opening game then, including trialists....but who will the goalkeeper be?

Some decent signings made and considering where you were just 2 weeks ago good progress.
