Bring back the League 1 days.

Huge game for O'Neil. In any other situation a point away at Brentford would be viewed as a positive but I'm not sure it'd be viewed as such now. If we lose it'll be properly grim...

    Johnstone

    Semedo Dawson Toti Aït-Nouri

    J.Gomes André

    Guedes Cunha Forbs

    Strand Larsen

SUBS: Sá, Lima, S Bueno, Doyle, Bellegarde, Lemina, Hwang, R.Gomes, Sarabia

We all know Bellegarde will start but I can't stand him right now. O'Neil was talking up Guedes but left him on the bench against Liverpool, time for him to show that he can contribute here. Forbs looked bright against Liverpool so please start him instead of shoehorning João or Lemina into forward areas. Hopefully Dawson is fit to start ahead of Bueno.

If you survive the 1st minute you could win…

in all seriousness if you keep mbuemo quiet you will have a chance, we can’t score goals outside of him it seems no Wissa no Thiago… Schade looks devoid of confidence in front of goal.

We also don’t keep clean sheets so should be an entertaining game I’m going for a draw with us maybe shading it if we start well again

don’t know much about wolves this season but I don’t think either of us want to be back in league one

championship is a good league

Not going to be a classic, but hopefully your Schade comment will come back to bite your :moon:

We'll play him back into form don't you worry.

Also worth noting how poor we've been at defending set pieces this season. Always a strength of Brentford's.

This has got 'valiant effort but 2-1 loss' written all.over it.

Fair ****s to Brentford. Toney gone, his replacement gets injured, Wissa gets injured and yet they find themselves in the top 10. Thomas Frank continues to do a great job there

God knows, sometimes bigger jobs don’t suit managers. Would certainly be interesting to see but I’m sure you’ll be hoping that doesn’t happen anytime soon if it does!

He seems pretty happy at Brentford tbf.
Reckon Man Utd could take him though. Shit managers get time there so he wouldn't be under immediate pressure. Other more basketcase clubs might not be of interest to him.

I genuinely don't think I've seen a team defend set pieces as badly as we do. That Pinnock goal is absurd. And this is after we hired a set piece coach. We're a complete rabble.

Absolutely loving Sam Johnstone too, who looks like he'll be right at home in the Championship next season. Petrified of coming off his line, diabolical with his feet and dives in slow motion.

For clarification when I said "Shit managers get time there" I wasn't implying TF was shit.

    You've broken him :(

He's made more mistakes in a month than he made in his entire time here.

I didn't watch the Brentford game, but having watched the Liverpool game I'm not sure why O'Neil's signed him. He clearly wants his goalkeeper to play out a lot, and it's just not Johnstone's game. He's not good playing out in that style, and it just puts him under pressure before he's even tested in the aspects of his game that he was good at with Palace and West Brom.

That's part of it but it'd help if he stopped stroking at shots as they roll past him.

We wanted Ramsdale and couldn't get him so Johnstone was always our 2nd choice at least. At the end of the day he's just a shit keeper and we should drop him immediately.

For sure, but having Johnstone as a second choice to Ramsdale is bizarre as they're two entirely different goalkeepers. If you are insistent on playing it out in the way you were against Liverpool (only game I've seen of you in full admittedly), then once you missed out on Ramsdale you've got to get someone of a similar profile. With how competitive the division is, and how switches on clubs around you are in the market, you just won't get away with mistakes like that in the Premier League at the moment.

I get that the routine goalkeeping errors are probably far more of a concern for you, but even if he was in good form it was inevitable that it wasn't going to work out for him with you. I would say he almost certainly now will be dropped, which would be the right move, but it's an expensive mistake.

I presume Sa is still there?

Thought he was fairly ok but obviously had a bad spell in recent times to be dropped.
