(Quoting myself from the rumours thread) Stones in then, but only for two months, at least at first... January could be awkward if we are flying, then lose two strikers at the end of their loans
Im almost at the point where i can say our squad is complete. Your hard pushed now to say where you would like to see improvement
Blimey… we have a sub-standard squad, with a small sprinkling of decent performers. We are where we are totally on merit. Your title to lose, then..and all my money was on Barnet.
Ha not at all. Much more too it than just having the squad. Luck, other teams performances, keeping that squad, keeping the manager... I do think we are in the title race though, even if we are 5 behi d top at present
As we know, a bad run in this league is only ever around the corner if you’re not careful but I do agree that for the first time in many years, it now feels like we now have strength in every position. Should be a fun season for a change anyway.
Played under Hinslewood before should be an excellent signing,he was rumoured to be coming in the summer. Also for all the Oldham fans our manager has confirmed we was never in for Stones, just a random internet rumour on X.
He was a key part of our title success in 2021, and vital for us in 21/22. His loan spell in 2023 wasn’t so great imo. On his day he’s too good for this level, and the level above, however he can be inconsistent. But that’s a great signing for York
Tbh id say that was a given. He seems to have some connection to us even though he's only played 4 games last season. Has been seen at latics a number of times this season as well. Given we are also on his doorstep, it would seem very odd to choose york over us.
We only really saw him once. Good size but didn't look of required standard. However, harsh to judge one game.
Shipping a few out today. Luke Derher gone to Croydon, decent player but always injured. Christain Scott sent on loan to Enfield Town, a sending off waiting to happen. Would love to move on Miller, barely played and not very good. Mason Barrett has an ACL and is out for the year. Craig Eastmond injured again. Sigh . Deon Woodman back from Stalebuns from his loan.
Good luck to him . There's a decent offensive player in their , not League 1 level but imo better than non league , he just needs to be more consistent & concentrate more especially in defensive situations where he's a bit of a liability if playing wing back role . Hartlepool have also a signing from Posh as our Head of Academy Anthony Limbrick has left us to take up a head coach role alongside Lennie Lawrence , he gotta be about 70 nowadays surely but , good luck to em anyway .
