Was never staying after Solihull game and turning up at ballers league a week later. Not sure why our fans have to dig the fella out as he always gave his all but it was never good enough, could do damaged in NLS but was 4th choice if he stayed with us.
If you play with a back 3 and have a decent LCB to cover he should be ok as a LWB. Basically keep his defensive responsibility to minimum and he's fine
Shots sign full back Matt Penney. Looks to have a decent pedigree but at 27 years old has barely managed 100 career games. Amy thoughts Alty/Rochdale fans? Looks like he hardly featured for either side.
Thought he was a good player going forward but not the best at defending. I would be more worried about his attitude both Ardley and Hinslewood fell out with him,when we got hammered at Alty 6-1 and looked like we were certain for relegation he was laughing on the team bus,Himslewood banned him from club and others,we then showed a lot of fight and stayed up. Shipped out last season on loan.
Very impressive signing on paper. Behind York I'd say Eastleigh have had the strongest window so far.
Still only a young lad so hopefully done some growing up. Get the impression that Lakeland won’t tolerate any nonsense, so intrigued to see how he gets on.

That would be it for defence I’d say, whether it’s good enough I don’t know. 3 right backs, 4 centre backs and 2 left backs. Plus Josh Grant who can fill in any of the positions if there’s a crisis. I’d like a quality midfielder. Still think it’s the area that will cost us.
One positive I like of this defender is he’s 30 and frankly only had 3 clubs, clearly both Yeovil and Motherwell were happy to keep him for a few seasons. has this signing happened to add competition or because feeney is injured??
Blimey, how to ruin your career in 2 years. He was a monster for us at centre back, however he was playing alongside Haji Mnoga who’s now moved up the leagues with Salford, and looking back I wonder how much Mnoga bailed him out and made him look decent. Shame to see such a fall from grace though, hope he sorts himself out and works his way back up
Strange signing really, decent career but definitely a gamble. Ipswich supporting mate of mine doesn’t really remember him which probably says a lot
