Gotta be honest, I think those subs took the sting out of us. There's no point in having Sturridge, Benteke and Origi upfront if we can't get the ball to them.

I've said it all season the lad just can't finish unless it's instinctive and one touch usually. I knew he'd miss that.

I've never known an expensive striker miss so many good chances since Andy Cole and he'd get 7 good chances a game for united so would usually stick one away.

 

Missing easy chances like that are what stops Benteke from being a top striker. Knew he'd miss it as soon as he was through.

 

That explains why Klopp has been starting with Firmino up front. Benteke is a poor finisher but will get the odd belter 1 in 15.

All the complaints about him generally would subside if he could just score easy chances.
